DC Comics First Issues Coming In June 2016

Alright my friends, we are up to the DC Comics offerings for June 2016 and this is the big one, or well at least the start of the big one because the “DC Universe: Rebirth” event is here. Yep, there is no more “The New 52” series running and it’s time to go back to the basics and start anew. This new initiative is going to find brand new first issues coming out en masse and many of them will be available twice a month once the series get started. Many of the titles will bear a $2.99 cover price which is cool since it’s a little cheaper but remember you will be getting two issues each month so it probably doesn’t matter if you collect a lot of titles and buy that “reserved for posterity” copy as well. With “Rebirth”, the core titles will each get a special one-shot “Rebirth” issue that will lead us into the new series. Since the new comics have already hit the stands a couple of days ago with my timing of this post, I can say that I read a bunch and its really off to a promising start. I highly recommend that you start your own journey into “Rebirth” with the special edition one-shot that came out last month entitled “DC Universe: Rebirth”. Its already up to a third printing as it’s been that well-received. As always the press and images come care of our friends at DC Comics and we only showcase the first issue in the narratives. There are other titles running concurrently. Here we go.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: Alright so like I’ve already said, I have read a bunch of these already and I am digging them. Next week the first issue will come out for the “Rebirth” editions that I got and it will follow suit. I have to admit that I am enjoying this right off the bat more than I did with “The New 52” since that made so many changes that I didn’t enjoy. Yeah there was some stuff I liked but the dislikes outweighed the likes for me and too many titles I enjoyed got cancelled faster than I would have liked. It made collecting a pain in the butt. Your comics money will surely be put to use as the new initiative gets moving so I wonder what you readers think about this one and which titles are you most excited for.
