DC Comics First Issues Coming April 2017

It looks like the DC Universe Rebirth is taking a month off to breath in terms of brand new launching titles but that’s alright by me since it lets me save a couple of bucks. There is only a single first issue hitting the stands this month while numerous series are keeping true and entertaining you with new tales. Check it out.

“Batman/The Shadow” #1

Batman/The Shadow #1: Two of history’s greatest vigilantes are reunited at last! Murder has come to Gotham City, and Lamont Cranston appears to be the culprit…but he’s been dead for over fifty years! Batman will go to the ends of the Earth to unravel the mystery of Cranston’s life, but the mysterious Shadow will do everything in his power to stop him from learning too much… The superstar team of writers Scott Snyder and Steve Orlando and artist Riley Rossmo brings you a dark and twisty modern noir like nothing you’ve seen before, with a brand-new villain unlike any either hero has faced! This is the unmissable crime series of 2017, so get on board now! Co-published with Dynamite.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: I’ve always enjoyed the comic book adventures of The Shadow since he is one of the true pulp greats of the past. Do any of you remember the series that DC Comics put out a few decades ago? Maybe this will find them releasing a comprehensive edition of that series since it didn’t run a whole lot of issues. I think there were “9” or so. While this series makes its debut another one ends with “Future Quest” closing up its teaming up of the Saturday Morning Cartoon greats. I have really been enjoying series so will miss it. These Hanna Barbera characters done as close to real life circumstances have been really interesting and I highly recommend “Flintstones”. Alright that is all I have for the DC Comics stuff. What do you readers think about this title? Will you be picking it up? Let me know in the comments section below as always. See you next time.
