The San Diego Comic Con for 2016 would be ending today and one of the things that I have already noted in several posts is how this convention keeps me busy tossing together posts about trailers for upcoming films or the skimpiest of teaser clips. While we’ve attended to many of the awesome movies that are coming down the pike, its time to pay a little mind to the television shows that feature these colorful characters. I’ll be starting with The CW Television Network since they have not one, but five different DC Comics shows airing during the week. “Arrow” was the first one and it begins its fifth season in October. Here is the trailer for this upcoming season.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: I’m not going to mince words here because I absolutely hated so much about the fourth season of “Arrow”. There were some deaths that I felt made no sense in the larger scheme of things and other instances where it was just taking too damned long to get to a closing point. I’m happy that he is finally called The Green Arrow though. A couple of my friends loved it and some others agreed with me so we have a talking point. If S5 doesn’t win me over during the first few episodes I am dropping this one from the DVR programming and focusing my time on something else. I’d love to see a better use of Mr. Terrific in the new season (if we are even going to hear the character who plays him use that name) and some additional super-heroes that can expand this small screen “Arrowverse” a bit better. Hey bring back The Huntress while you are at it, and even Deathstroke. It can’t hurt. What do you readers think of this new season trailer? Let me know in the comments section if you have been watching the show. If you are way behind, they are on Netflix now so you have some more reasons to subscribe. Stay tuned for more.
