It’s been a few months since the first clip from “Star Trek: Picard” came our way thanks to the SDCC 2019 reveals and now with New York Comic Con on its third day, I am happy to offer up another clip for this series which will be an exclusive to the CBS All Access streaming service. I always liked the character of Picard and actor Patrick Stewart so let’s check out this new clip down below. I will return with some closing editorial after you enjoy the clip, premise, casting and poster. “Engage”…
The Premise: The series is set 20 years after Jean-Luc Picard’s last appearance in Star Trek: Nemesis (2002), and finds the character deeply affected by the destruction of Romulus as depicted in the film Star Trek (2009).
Patrick Stewart as Jean-Luc Picard
Santiago Cabrera as Cristobal “Chris” Rios
Michelle Hurd as Rafaella “Raffi” Musiker
Evan Evagora as Elnor
Alison Pill as Agnes Jurati
Harry Treadaway as Narek
Isa Briones as Dahj and Soji Asha
Brent Spiner as Data
Jeri Ryan as Seven of Nine
Jonathan Del Arco as Hugh
Jonathan Frakes as William Riker
Marina Sirtis as Deanna Troi
PiercingMetal Thoughts: I must admit that I liked this trailer even more than the first one but am still not too sure that I will be jumping on for the CBS All Access service just yet. Right now, I currently hold a Netflix and Hulu account on top of the regular cable bill and its few premium channels. I’ve also just re-upped my subscription to DC Universe service but that was to take advantage of a daily pin offering at the New York Comic Con. I will likely keep that and catch up to “Titans”, “Doom Patrol” and “Swamp Thing”. I am envisioning a time when I will not have any conventional channels and only Internet streaming services to see all the shows I want to watch. I might be good with this since I already pay for far too many sport and foreign language channels that I don’t need at all. What did you readers think about this latest trailer? Chime in down below.
