Rock and Roll Toy Collectors are going to love these two new additions to the Funko Pop Rocks line of collectible vinyl figures as both Joey Ramone from Ramones and Jimi Hendrix will be heading our way sometime in June. Let’s take a look at these awesome icons in their Pop styling.
PiercingMetal Thoughts: If you’ve read any of my past coverage of the American International Toy Fair which I do as a part of the convention circuit of events I attend, you know full well how much I love the Funko brand. Last year they offered up a Pop of the great Lemmy Kilmister which I spoke about HERE in case you missed it. In 2015 the world found Pops of Babymetal hitting the shelves and they were so cute but you can check for yourself by clicking HERE to see them. If you like these as well you might only have luck in snagging a Lemmy as I’ve not seen the Babymetal ones in some time. I fear they went the way of the KISS ones that I never bought. Sigh but that is a sore topic for me since I am all about KISS. I will definitely be purchasing the Ramone one and am a little sad that we didn’t get all four members of the famous Punk Rock group. What do you think of these two? Chime in down below.
Photos of this latest set of the Marvel Legends series have been making the rounds since being revealed at the SDCC 2016 but the first time that I ever saw them on the shelves was the other day when I snapped my photos while shopping at my local comic book shop. The premise of the set is “Guardians Of The Galaxy” Vol. 2 and they’ve arrived just in time since the film opens up in a couple of weeks and its something that I am very excited about. I loved the first film and cannot wait to see where they take these characters this time. There are “7” figures making up this set and they are Drax, Yondu, Vance Astro, Angela (not pictured), Darkhawk, Nova and Star-Lord. Okay some of the characters are from the GOTG comics only but that is fine by me. Each of these figures (except the Star-Lord one) include a piece of the Titus character who is someone that I didn’t know about at all until I penned this little narrative. Apparently he is a villain of Nova and is a cybernetic tiger sort of thing. When I first saw the image on the back of the packaging I thought that we were getting Man-Wolf. He would make a nice addition to the Marvel Legends series because we do already have a cool Morbius. The pics were taken at Galaxy Comics in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn and you can check out their Yelp right HERE.
Toy Fair 2017 is in the books and we have what feels like a hundred companies to sort through and share here on the website. Among the many exhibitors presenting were the fine folks at Hasbro but sadly we were not able to be a part of their press presentation this year. I know, its a bummer but what can you do. After the event I learned that they revealed a 40th Anniversary collection of action figures that are based on the Original Twelve that came out so very long ago.
I’ve secured the images of the twelve revisions to the classic original 3.75″ inch figures and have shared them with you below. I don’t really think that I need to say which character is which do I? If I do, then I’d like to thank you for coming to the PiercingMetal.com website for the very first time and I hope you enjoy your exploration into the “Star Wars” franchise ;p Here we go.
When I saw these Misfits enamel pins I knew that I had to share them with you and since the information about them came in a double-loaded press release I am adding the other part in here as well. Take a look at the pins first and then you can examine the Blondie Throbblehead figure.
THAT’S RIGHT… SHE’S BACK! And we’ve got a limited number available to offer to our awesome customers.
Debbie Harry rose from the 1970s New York club scene to international stardom with Blondie, and now this punk-rock chanteuse is presented as a limited edition, hand-numbered bobble head by Drastic Plastic. Debbie is rendered with her iconic white dress and golden locks. The doll stands approximately seven inches high and is cast in durable polyresin for stability and exquisite detail.
PiercingMetal Thoughts: Before I continue, did you know that Blondie just recently announced a new tour? She did and I covered that in full on THIS LINK. The Punk legend is 70 years old if you can believe it so make sure to get yourself to that tour. Hell, if she is doing any sort of VIP meet and greet you might want to have one of these Throbbleheads with you for her to sign it for your collection. I must have the pins that’s for sure but as far as the bobbles go, I’m not really a collector of these kinds of things and am more of an action figure sort of guy but I wonder what you think of this new offering. Let me know in the comments section below.
PiercingMetal is going to be hitting the American International Toy Fair in the coming weeks and one of the things I love most about this event is all of the comic book superhero awesomeness that I see that will be coming out. Yesterday I received a bit of press and images from Monogram International who make an AMAZING whole bunch of things for the geek-minded and this notice was to show off their “DC Comics Figures” line that is focused on The Justice League. Check out the press piece and all the images below.
