Marvel Legends Series: “Doctor Strange” Action Figures Available Now

By now I’m hoping that all of our readers who are into the stuff have seen the big screen adaptation of the “Doctor Strange” comic book as he is now an integrated part of the ever-expanding Marvel Cinematic Universe. With this being the case, a set of proper action figures was bound to happen and so I am happy to share my findings at the local comic book store when I saw the latest series that features The Sorcerer Supreme and his allies/antagonists. We get two figures of the Doctor, one from the comics and one that looks a lot like Benedict Cumberbatch. Take a look.

Marvel Legends On The Racks

These eight figures are a part of the Dormammu “Build-a-Figure” series and each include a portion of the Dread One for you to assemble and include in your mystical battles for the good of the realm. Dramatic I know but I’ve been reading “Doctor Strange” for many years and its part of my lexicon now. Sorry that the figures are unopened but I am presenting them as they were seen on the shelves of my areas shop.

Mattel’s “DC Superhero Girls” Available Now!

When I went to the local comic book shop to check out the new titles for the week, I took notice of the racks of action figures and saw that a few new characters in the “DC Superhero Girls” line was now available. Considering that I think this is a fantastic idea to get more girls into the comics and action figures as a whole, I felt sharing the images of the items was a good idea since we are rapidly approaching the gifting season. Thanksgiving is now around the corner and before you blink it will be Christmas and Chanukah and I want you ready to get some heroic goodness out to the ones you love.

I actually saw my first glimpse of this action figure line by Mattel when I visited the Play Fair portion of the American International Toy Fair earlier this year. My overview of that specific aspect can be examined on my PiercingKen.com site with THIS LINK so do please check it out. Now since these were on the racks I could only get this kind of photo but they are nice and clear and very legible. I don’t think that I need to name the characters since so many are instantly identifiable as well. Each figure is about 6″ tall and comes with an accessory of some sort. Here we go.

On Shelves: Funko Pop! Rocks “Lemmy” Figurine

While Lemmy might be gone for almost a year now, his memory is as vital in the minds of Rock and Metal fans worldwide for both his many, many albums and incredible concert performances. Now, he will live on in perhaps his cutest form ever as a Funko “Pop! Rocks” vinyl figurine. It’s available now and depending on where you purchase it can be obtained for anywhere between $10-$20 bucks.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: Those who’ve been reading the website for a little while know that we’ve been attending the American International Toy Fair for a few years now. It’s a super important event to cover based on the Pop Culture geek stuff that I regularly discuss and one of my favorite stops at the show is the Funko pavilion. While initially an ingenue about the brand, I didn’t realize that their KISS releases would disappear as quickly as they did and now they fetch at least three times their original price. I love the fun look of the Pops! and if you click their tag down below you’ll see all the different things from the Toy Fair events of the past. They pretty much have something for every collector but I would choose wisely or you will put yourself in the poor house based on just how many figurines there are. Okay so to close up what do you think about this Lemmy Pop!, will you be adding him to your collection or sitting him on top of a bass head? Chime in down below and feel free to let me know who you would like to see the company do next. Thanks for listening.

On Shelves: Hasbro’s “Marvel Legends Series” BAF “Abomination”

The latest batch of Marvel Legends Series action figures has hit the shelves of your favorite retailers of the stuff. This set is super interesting and of course is a build-a-figure series that gives you The Abomination when you assemble all of the pieces together. I snapped these images at my local comic book shop and sadly they were already sold out of some of the figures and didn’t get all of them at this location (they have a second store that gets some of the goodies as well). I’ll do some looking around and try to get the other images in this fashion to add later but I am missing Scarlet Witch, The Eel, Wonder Man and Iron Skull.

On Shelves: Hasbro’s “Marvel Legends Series” BAF “Giant Man”

Yes my fiends its time to get excited once more as the next group of the Hasbro Toys “Marvel Legends Series” action figures are on the shelves of your favorite retailers. This set features a few Avengers and some characters from the Captain America comic series and let’s you build an MCU Giant Man. Alas I couldn’t secure images of the Captain America, Iron Man and Black Panther figures as they were the most popular at this particular shop I was in and flew off the shelves the moment they were placed there. With Black Panther being a part of the new Captain America movie and soon to get his own feature this doesn’t surprise me. If I see them on another visit I will take a snap and add to this narrative. Check out what we do have though.
