The Press Release:
Since the character’s introduction in Detective Comics #38 on March 6, 1940, Robin has become an icon to millions of comic book fans, establishing the “sidekick” as a permanent part of comic book lore. Since a young Dick Grayson donned the distinctive yellow cape and domino mask, many have taken on the mantle of Robin, joining The Batman in his war on crime, while also growing into their own and taking on new adventures, both solo and as part of other super-teams like the Teen Titans, the Justice League and others.
On March 11, 2020, DC celebrates Robin’s 80th anniversary with a landmark one-shot, Robin 80th Anniversary 100-Page Super Spectacular. This instant collectible includes stories from comics’ greatest Robin writers, paying tribute to the character in various guises, including Dick Grayson, Jason Todd, Tim Drake, Stephanie Brown and Damian Wayne. The Talent list for these stories reads like a whos-who list of comic luminaries, such as Marv Wolfman, Tom Grummett, Chuck Dixon, Scott McDaniel, Devin Grayson, Dan Jurgens, Norm Rapmund, Tim Seeley, Tom King and Mikel Janin, James Tynion IV, Peter J. Tomasi, Judd Winick and others. Continue reading DC Comics Announces “Robin 80th Anniversary 100-Page Super Spectacular”→

The time has come to return to the time of the Ghostbusters, a crackshot team who protected Earth from the denizens in the deceased and supernatural. Of course, with the team disbanded and unaccounted for I ask you this my friends. “Who you gonna call?” – The answer can be found in this first Official Trailer for the new film.
The Premise: A single mother and her two children move to Oklahoma after inheriting property from a previously unknown relative. They discover their family’s legacy to the original Ghostbusters, who have become something of a myth as many have long-since forgotten the events of the “Manhattan Crossrip of 1984”.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: I truly loved the first “Ghostbusters” film, enjoyed the second installment for the most part and like so very many of you, never even bothered with the redo of the franchise from a couple of years ago. That being said I was curious as to how this new movie might be and when it proved to be a many years later continuation of what we all enjoyed I was game. The idea of the family members of the famous team who long since retired brings some appeal to the front and with the young cast can “Stranger Things” be a good comparison. I liked what I saw here and look forward to more reveals. Though the summer of 2020 is far away, I will likely be sitting in the local theater for this one. What did you think? Chime in down below in the comments.
