marvel comics, marvel entertainment, no compromise no mercy

Earlier today, the fine folks over at the House Of Ideas Marvel Comics began teasing a new initiative with the tagline “No Compromise, No Mercy” and in the email a graphic featuring Blade was delivered. There was nothing else to see folks which means a few more such posts will be coming and to keep this easy to follow, I will be adding in any future stuff to this post. The first graphic showcases Blade, The Vampire Hunter.

DC Comics First Issues Coming In June 2019

Now we are onto the new launches from DC Comics for those who are following our Pop Culture comic books focuses. There are not a whole lot of brand new first issues launching this month but the summer is officially approaching so we have that lull and the focus becomes hitting the movies and even going outside much more than hunkering down in your respective cave reading comic books. As always there are more continuing series running but I don’t post those and instead focus on the brand new. Images and text original from DC Comics media resources and my closing editorial is all me. Let’s look.

EVENT LEVIATHAN #1: The groundbreaking and always-inventive team of writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist Alex Maleev (Jinxworld’s SCARLET, Marvel’s Daredevil) reunite on a mystery thriller that stretches across the DC Universe and touches every character from Batman to Superman to the Question to Talia al Ghul. With startling ease, a newly dangerous and aggressive Leviathan wipes out all its competition and now turns its sights to molding the world into its vision of order. Can the new threat’s growth be stopped…and who’s guiding its new agents of chaos?

PiercingMetal Thoughts: So as you can see not a lot of brand-new launches and with these two I will most likely be waiting until they are in a single collected edition. I need to move some of my single issues over to storage or sell them off to make some room. That’s unless I love the series when I peruse them on the shelves but what about you readers? Will you be picking up either of these new series? Chime in down below and I will see you next time around.

Marvel Comics First Issues Coming In June 2019

Hello my Marvelous Media Maniacs and welcome to June which as you will see down below, stands to be a great month for cool first issues and special edition premieres care of the mighty House Of Ideas. So before I begin this rundown I am curious as to how many times you have seen “Avengers: Endgame” by now. Initially, my plan was to have seen it at least three times by now because the matinee in my area is only $6 on a Wednesday and there is no beating that but sadly the flexible time had escaped me with night before shows and a few conventions. As a matter of fact, as you read this narrative I will be making my way over to Greenpoint for the Five Points Festival and then tomorrow over to the Javits Center for Book Con. Earlier in the week I was at Book Expo so as you can see a very busy week but I digress. Let’s get on down to business and see the overview of what is coming our way care of press information and images from Marvel themselves. I will be closing up as per usual with additional Editorial pontification.

Marvel Announces “Bring On The Bad Guys” Variant Covers

I’m using the visual of a very classic collected edition that Marvel released way back in 1976 called “Bring On The Bad Guys”. The book featured the origins of some of their most sinister villains and was the companion to both “Origins Of Marvel Comics” and “Son Of Origins”. I’m certain that all have been reprinted and can be purchased today but I digress. This was used to laud the latest batch of variant covers that will be hitting the monthly issues listed below.

Marvel Launches “X-Men: The Seminal Moments” Documentary Short Series

Having grown up on the adventures of the X-Men, I found this next bit of news to be some exciting stuff. According to what I’ve read there are some big things coming in the title and let’s not forget that Disney now has the rights back to the license so we are eventually going to get some films that bring this all together in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. By now you probably are aware of the final 20th Century Fox X-Men feature with “Dark Phoenix” that opens up in a couple of weeks. Click the highlighted text if you’d like to check out our Final Trailer post for that one. Now let’s get onto this cool Marvel news.
