I’m a few days behind on this thanks to a healthy amount of other agenda items to share with you but better late than never in the transfer of information. Filter Announces “Make America Hate Again” Tour for 2016

The Spring and Summer touring packages are rolling in with alarming frequency which of course for the fans of the bands is not a bad thing at all, I am speaking mostly about the amount of time its keeping me busy keeping you in the aware about them. With that being the scoop, here is the recently released tour poster for Filter’s “Make America Hate Again” tour which will find them bringing Orgy, Vampires Everywhere and Death Valley High. Check it out and read carefully since the tour dates are also on the poster and not edited in anywhere else in the post.

Tour - Filter - Make America Hate Again - 2016

PiercingMetal Thoughts: Sonically speaking this is a touring package that makes complete sense to me and I think that the fans of the top tier on this will be besides themselves. Personally speaking I have only ever seen Filter once and the same applies for Vampires Everywhere but never caught either Orgy or Death Valley High in concert. Hopefully I will get to the regional appearance since it will be half an educational visit for me if I do. Filter will be supporting their new release “Crazy Eyes” when this tour happens (but only the first single is available at the time of this posting and linked to below for your convenience). What I liked about this news was that Vampires Everywhere has apparently returned. It was a little over a year ago (I think unless my Metal math is off) that singer Michael Vampire shifted focus and worked on a different musical project. So tell me dear readers, what do you think of this tour and will you attend? Let me know in the comments.

Ne Obliviscaris Announce Last Minute Headlining US Dates

They say that when life hands you lemons you make lemonade and in this case when a tour your on finds the headliner with Visa issues, you quickly book some side shows as a headliner to not find the time a complete wash. Such is the case with the band Ne Obliviscaris who announced a three night batch of headlining shows while they await the arrival of Cradle Of Filth. Check them out below the poster.

Tour - Ne Obliviscaris - Winter 2016

“Last minute HEADLINE shows in PHILADELPHIA, PROVIDENCE & BALTIMORE announced! Replacing the 4 cancelled shows with Cradle of Filth due to their visa delays. Tickets $10 at the door. Spread the word!”

Headlining Dates:

Jan. 26 Philadelphia, PA @ Voltage Lounge w/Black Crown Initiate
Jan. 27 Providence, RI @ Firehouse 13
Jan. 28 Baltimore, MD @ Baltimore Soundstage

PiercingMetal Thoughts: You heard the man, spread the word. Get out there and support something new and different that has not had such a chance to visit you before. Now is your chance to be a proper Metal head and discover new things like I suggested that you do in my New Year’s Day Post. This is also only ten bucks and that is about the cost of a beer here in New York City so if you are near any of these venues you do NOT have an excuse at all. I’m not sure what the Butcher Babies are doing during this disruption but let’s hope that its all sorted out before too much else is lost from the delays.

Cradle Of Filth Cancel Four Tour Dates Based On Visa Issues

Not too long ago we helped present the upcoming tour dates for the new Cradle Of Filth tour that was bringing them to our shores once more and finding support from both Butcher Babies and Ne Obliviscaris but sadly the first few dates of the tour have been cancelled based on the always problematic Visa issues which was announced yesterday. Dani Filth’s statement is below the original tour poster that was used in my larger tour posting HERE. Check it out.

Tour - Cradle Of Filth - 2016

“With a massively heavy heart, Cradle of Filth have to announce the cancellation (for now at least) of our first four shows in the U.S, because of a visa issue with the American embassy. We are doing everything in our power to rectify this situation as fast as possible. It is an nightmarish situation for all and we can only apologize for all those fans who have bought tickets. Thank you for your understanding and please be assured we are doing everything we can to be with you as soon as is humanly possible and that should be 31st January in Charlotte, North Carolina. We look forward to seeing you then. For refunds, please contact your point of purchase. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.”

Amon Amarth Announce Spring US Tour For “Jomsviking”

Oh Hell Yes!!!!! It’s always great news to find out that the mighty Amon Amarth will be heading to the states and doing a lengthy tour and making it a point to stop in our neck of the woods. Imagine the distress across the Metal Legions that my own city would face at such news. Not only are they bringing along Entombed A.D.and Exxmortus but they will be supporting a sure to be crushing new album entitled “Jomsviking” as well. I’ve copied the full on press release for your edification and will return with some closing thoughts at the end. Check it out.

Tour - Amon Amarth - Jomsviking 2016

The Press Release:
Swedish metal kings, AMON AMARTH, today confirm the details of their North American headlining tour this Spring. Set to run from April 7th through May 21st, the lengthy trek will find the band joined by fellow Swedes Entombed A.D and young USA metal upstarts Exmortus! Presale tickets are available now at AmonAmarth.com. Tickets go on sale on Friday, January 29th at 10AM local time at AmonAmarth.com.

The tour will follow the release of AMON AMARTH’s tenth studio album, Jomsviking, set for unveiling in North America via Metal Blade Records on March 25th. Jomsviking – the band’s first concept record in their storied career – tells a tragic tale of love and revenge, backed by the Swedes’ trademark melodic, anthemic metal, which was produced and mixed once again by Andy Sneap (Megadeth, Testament, Accept) and also features special guest session drummer Tobias Gustafsson (Vomitory). The epic original story is set in the world of the Jomsvikings, the legendary order of mercenary Vikings.
