Okay so now that PiercingMetal.com is using WordPress for pretty much everything, I am hoping to get more “Upcoming Tour” features presented to you readers. Consider these sort of narratives my “PSA” or PiercingMetal Service Announcements hahahaha. Now being serious, a little awareness about an upcoming tour is never a bad thing and with that being said here is the latest announcement from the folks handling Black Cobra who will be touring for a month at the end of this August.
The Press Release:
BLACK COBRA today announces a more than month-long US Tour, set to begin in late August and running into the beginning of October.
With thirty-two cities confirmed to endure the BLACK COBRA live treatment at press time, the actions begin in Phoenix, Arizona on August 28th, then spiraling though the Southeast, up the East Coast and back across the country in a downward slash on their way back to their Bay Area homelands. Direct support for BLACK COBRA on all dates will be provided by Ohio riff rock quartet, Lo Pan. Continue reading Black Cobra Confirms Month-Long Summer/Fall US Tour With Support From Lo Pan→
I know that the fans of the pummeling force that is known as Machinehead will be losing their sh** as the news about the bands return to the headlining stage was announced today. The band will be embarking on a months’ worth of dates and bring along Children Of Bodom, Epica and Battlecross as a part of the package. Mark me down as both intrigued and slightly confused with the roster but we can talk about that after you see the poster below and read the official press copy which I have provided for your greater levels of awareness.
Press Release: Bay Area Metal Titans, MACHINE HEAD, continue their live domination of North America with the announcement of their 21-show U.S. and Canadian trek in support of their debut studio album for Nuclear Blast Entertainment, due out this fall.
With a devastating line-up that features support from Finnish heavy metal powerhouse CHILDREN OF BODOM, Dutch symphonic metallers EPICA, and American melodic death/thrash openers BATTLECROSS, this epic trek launches on October 4th in Denver, Colorado and includes five Canadian cities before closing out in Hollywood, California on November 1st.
MACHINE HEAD frontman and guitarist Robb Flynn checks in about the touring line-up and the upcoming shows:
“MACHINE HEAD raised the bar with concert production for 2012 ‘s ‘Locust’ tour, and now we plan to raise the bar again with our biggest US show yet, and the strongest line-up out there for 2014, PERIOD! This is a MUST SEE event for any heavy metal fan in America! I am stoked that we were able to join up with our friends in CHILDREN OF BODOM, one of the premier power metal bands of our time, and our friends in BATTLECROSS, who we toured with on Mayhem last year, and are going to bring the old-school thrash vibe. EPICA’s symphonic metal will add a touch of much needed class to the drunken shenanigans that will surely take place on this raucous tour. Come out and be a part of history ladies and gentlemen!” Continue reading Machine Head Announces Headlining Tour For Fall 2014→
Fans of the mighty Deicide will start slavering in anticipation of the bands Fall “In The Minds Of Evil” tour that will find them joined by Marduk, Septicflesh and Carach Angren. The news broke earlier today and here is the poster that has been socially networked (for lack of a better term). I’ll pick up some discussion afterward.
Strangely enough this information came care of the Deicide Facebook as opposed to any formal press release and since the band had presented us with an official poster, I will assume that this is all a locked in affair. Looking at this touring package I have to say that it’s an impressive one because I’ve witnessed Marduk selling out venues like Gramercy Theatre a couple of times already while Septicflesh has brought their “Conquerors Of The World” tour around twice already and that does rather well. I’m not too much up on Carach Angren but I imagine I will have time to investigate before this tour hits our vicinity. At the point of this writing there are no tour dates nor venues listed but since some of the other providers of Metal entertainment were posting about this, I had to make sure I was in the mix as well for our regular readers. If this show plans on hitting one of the venues that I have traditionally done contests for you can be sure that I will look into doing one for this crushing affair. What are your thoughts about this package? Does it interest you at all? Will you attend? Let me know in the comments that have been left open for Continue reading Deicide Brings Us “In The Minds Of Evil” In Fall 2014→
I really enjoyed the Melodic Hard Rock that I found on the Otherwise major label debut “True Love Never Dies” and I have to tell you that they are great on the live stage. That fact makes me happy to share this press release that I received the other day about their upcoming Headlining tour with Like A Storm and Islander. Check it out below the poster and then look over those dates to see if they are heading your way. I’ll return at the close with some additional thoughts.
The Press Release:
Peace comes through struggle. It’s a reward that’s earned rather than simply given. It’s the product of tireless work and an unbreakable spirit against all odds and opposition. OTHERWISE are no strangers to that struggle, rising up to become rock ‘n’ roll contenders in the face of a tumultuous musical climate and a series of personal hardships. The Las Vegas hard alternative rock quintet-Adrian Patrick [vocals], Ryan Patrick [guitar/vocals], Corky Gainsford [drums/vocals], Vassilios Metropoulos [bass], & Andrew Pugh [guitar/vocals]-catalog the next chapter of this journey on their second full-length album, PEACE AT ALL COSTS via Century Media Records.
Formed in the year 2000 by guitarist James Malone and drummer Mike Van Dynne, Arsis delivered a Technical Death Metal epic with their first album “A Celebration Of Guilt” and this would set the ball in motion on their career and impact upon the Metal scene. Over the years the band has seen numerous lineup and record label changes nut through it all, Malone continued to map out the bands vision and molten levels of Technical Death Metal. 2014 finds the band raising a glass to the 10th Anniversary of “A Celebration Of Guilt” and will be bringing along Allegeon and Exmortus as support. You can learn more about this tour by reading the press release below the poster and then we can examine the tour dates. Get going.
