There has been some level of chatter about this happening over the last few weeks and in these times of instant gratification thanks to the likes of Twitter and Facebook, the idea of waiting for more than a hot second is nothing less than agony in today’s concert going fan. That said, the wait is over and the big reveal was made official as King Diamond announced his long awaited (and overdue) return to the USA for a string of dates starting in October. Check out the dramatic poster of the King below and then you can indulge in the Press Release as well.
The onset of Winter is going to blaze as hot as the summer months if I can lay any predictions down and while I am not looking ahead into the Farmer’s Almanac for such information, I am instead referring to the press release that only moments ago hit my Metal Media Mailbox regarding Slayer’s 2014 Fall tour. The run will find these titans of Metal joined by both the Suicidal Tendencies and Exodus and you can check out the Official Press Release below the poster.

““I never meant to be so bad to you, one thing I said that I would never do. A look from you and I would fall from grace, and that would wipe the small right from my face……Do you remember when we used to dance? An incident arose from circumstance. One thing led to another we were young, and we would scream together songs unsung….it was the Heat of the Moment”…..Man did I love that song in my younger years and to this very day it is still one of my favorite tunes from Rock radios heyday. Well, at least during my own era’s heyday for Rock radio. Take a look at the press release.
The dragon has risen again. Iconic British rock band ASIA is about to embark on its 2014 Gravitas World Tour, incorporating visits to Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States. The band is taking to the road in support of its acclaimed new CD, Gravitas, introducing its newest member, guitarist Sam Coulson. “It always was a great live band, but this time the dragon has awakened with fresh energy, direction and purpose,” says Asia’s John Wetton, adding: “last summer, ASIA played live dates which opened in the UK, took in the massive Sweden Rock Festival, a European tour and a TV show in the glorious Roman Amphitheater, Plovdiv, Bulgaria, with an orchestra. These were the first dates of the new chapter of ASIA.” “There is a great energy when we step on stage,” says keyboardist Geoff Downes. “We can feel it and I know the fans can feel it.”

If there is one thing that I love sharing here on the blog, its a touring run because there is really no better way to see what a band is all about than on the live concert stage. With that said, let’s get to the recently released information from the people behind the scenes of The Pretty Reckless. I’ll return at the close.
The Press Release:
The Pretty Reckless announce the Going To Hell 2014 North American tour. The band will kick off the headline tour on September 10th in Boston, MA and will wrap on November 8th in New York City. The Pretty Reckless is currently on tour in support of their new album Going To Hell with upcoming festival dates including Rock On the Range, Rocklahoma, Monster Energy’s Fort Rock, Rock Fest Kansas City, among others (all tour dates below).
Led by singer Taylor Momsen, The Pretty Reckless’ single “Heaven Knows” is the most successful song this year at Active and Mainstream Rock Radio and is now crossing over to Alternative Rock with additional plays at Pop Radio. The song spent five weeks at #1 at Active Rock and is currently #1 at Mainstream Rock for over 8 weeks. Going To Hell was released on March 18th and debuted at #5 on the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart. The release has garnered praise from press and fans alike. Rolling Stone raves, “This New York band’s brash second album rages with the upbeat, beat-wise humor that hard rock has suppressed ever since grunge. ‘Heaven Knows’ and ‘Why’d You Bring a Shotgun to the Party’ are full-on glam stomps.”
