Judas Priest Announces Rescheduling Of “50 Heavy Metal Years” Tour

The last time we did an update for the legendary Judas Priest was to share that their proposed show at the Nassau Coliseum would not be happening based on the arena closing its doors. Sadly I am back with more sad news from the band as the entire run has been scrapped for 2020 and many of the dates will happen in 2021. Read on from the bands Official Facebook down below.

Motley Crue & Def Leppard Reveal 2021 Dates For “The Stadium Tour

It was just about three weeks ago when the combined forces of Motley Crue and Def Leppard announced that their much lauded “The Stadium Tour” was being postponed until 2021 (I discussed that HERE for those who need to check their tickets and work out refunds if the times have found it necessary).

The Statement:
We are excited to share the new dates for the Stadium Tour. All tickets will be honored for the new dates. If you are a ticket holder and cannot make the new show, you will receive an email from your ticket provider or you can visit livenation.com/refund. We look forward to seeing you in 2021!

PiercingMetal Thoughts: This is some obviously pretty cool news as a lot of us were looking forward to this tour for the summer and as you know, this year is pretty much cancelled based on the Coronavirus. One has to hope that more of a preventative measure is in place to fend off whatever still lingers from the virus in 2021 because I am still not too sure that I will see a show anytime soon. This pains me because I live for the live concert scene and my conventions. What do you readers think? “Star Wars” Celebration Cancelled Due To Coronavirus Pandemic

To Our Star Wars Celebration Fans and Friends:
At Star Wars Celebration, the health and safety of our fans, attendees, exhibitors, guests and staff is always our number one priority. Due to the global impact of the COVID-19 virus and in speaking with local and state authorities on the latest public health guidelines related to indoor conventions, we have made the decision to cancel Star Wars Celebration for 2020. While this news is disappointing, we are happy to announce that Star Wars Celebration will return to the Anaheim Convention Center on August 18-21, 2022.

Tickets, Transfers and Refunds:
Fans who purchased tickets can receive a refund or have their tickets transferred to the new event dates, recieve a refund or recieve a credit for Star Wars Celebration merchandise. As a token of our appreciation and to thank all Star Wars Celbration 2020 fans who choose to transfer their tickets to the 2022 how, we are excited to offer a free exclusive Star Wars Celebration stormtrooper character pin for all transferred tickets. “The Metal Tour Of The Year” Announces Special Streaming Event

A few weeks ago we helped to broadcast the news that the Megadeth and Lamb Of God touring event known as “The Metal Tour Of The Year” had postponed their summer dates. You can read that news by clicking HERE. Now, like many artists, the Metal fans are getting a special streaming experience and you can read all about it down below. Take a look.

The Press Release:
To celebrate what would have been the start of one of the most highly anticipated tours of the year, showcasing four of the world’s very best metal bands, The Metal Tour Of The Year will be broadcasting a mammoth streaming event this Friday, June 12th beginning at 2pm PST/5pm EST/10pm BST/11pm CET. The stream will be hosted by SiriusXM’s Jose Mangin and will feature full sets from Megadeth, Lamb Of God, Trivium and In Flames along with an exclusive interview with each band prior to the broadcast of their set.

Megadeth will be streaming their never before seen 2016 secret show from St Vitus in Brooklyn.

Lamb Of God will be streaming their surprise show from House Of Vans in Chicago from February this year.

Trivium will be streaming their 2019 performance from DreamHack Dallas.

In Flames will be streaming their 2019 headline set from their own festival Borgholm Brinner in Sweden.

Amaranthe Announce The Cancellation Of Their North American 2020 Tour

Back when we first lauded the 2020 North American Tour by Amaranthe (seen HERE) we were pretty darned stoked based on it was not only a long overdue return but one that was bringing along two exciting bands on the run in Battle Beast and Seven Spires. Of course, the world changed in the middle of March and as result event after event after event was getting cancelled and now Amaranthe has revealed their pending plans will not be taking place either. Sweden’s hottest metal export AMARANTHE: recently announced their sixth studio album will be released this fall via Nuclear Blast Records.

Today, the band are sad to report with the current state of the Covid-19 pandemic their upcoming North American 2020 tour is cancelled. All ticket holders will be refunded by the service where they made the purchase. Please note the promoters are working diligently to refund the payments in a timely manner and appreciate ticket holders patience during the process.
