Black Cobra Confirms Month-Long Summer/Fall US Tour With Support From Lo Pan

Okay so now that is using WordPress for pretty much everything, I am hoping to get more “Upcoming Tour” features presented to you readers. Consider these sort of narratives my “PSA” or PiercingMetal Service Announcements hahahaha. Now being serious, a little awareness about an upcoming tour is never a bad thing and with that being said here is the latest announcement from the folks handling Black Cobra who will be touring for a month at the end of this August.

The Press Release:
BLACK COBRA today announces a more than month-long US Tour, set to begin in late August and running into the beginning of October.

With thirty-two cities confirmed to endure the BLACK COBRA live treatment at press time, the actions begin in Phoenix, Arizona on August 28th, then spiraling though the Southeast, up the East Coast and back across the country in a downward slash on their way back to their Bay Area homelands. Direct support for BLACK COBRA on all dates will be provided by Ohio riff rock quartet, Lo Pan.

With relentless dexterity and viciousness, as a meager duo, San Francisco’s BLACK COBRA delivers an even more concussive attack on stage than their already decimating recordings relay, with a backline to blow away bands with lineups more than twice their size. The band’s unhinged sludge metal loaded with neck-mangling time switch-ups and songwriting as devastating as their delivery is loud, unloaded with the most rampant punk rock energy, BLACK COBRA has proven their live devastation with endless devotion since their 2001 inception, the band having played nearly seven hundred shows worldwide since then.

Stand by for updates from BLACK COBRA as the band soon records their next LP, due for release in early 2015.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: So I must be honest and say that neither of these two bands have ever been on my Metal radar but that is what always amazes me about the music scene around us – there is ALWAYS something happpening and ALWAYS a new and potentially exciting band to get behind. That being the case there is no reason to forever wonder when the next Slayer or Black Label Society gig is or when some new Priest is hitting the shelves. That stuff can remain vital to us above all but getting out and seeing that else is out there is something to get used to. Now I am not sure of my scheduled events for the time this run hits Brooklyn at Saint Vitus Bar (and wow kudos to them for picking up some speed and getting so many shows together for the fans). Folks that are already down with these two groups should let us noobs know what we are in store for and what they think about the tour overall. That is what the comments section down below is for. See you next time.
