There are a lot of our readers digging into the Anime and Manga stuff and we applaud them since its just so massive an extension of the geek interests that we personally don’t even know how to catch up on some of it. One popular series is “Battle Angel: Alita” and as you can see they’ve reversed the name for the film. The trailers look like some exciting stuff and the last one I posted can be observed HERE in the event you missed it. This film opens today in theaters everywhere so take a look at the poster, premise and some casting before my closing editorial notions.
The Premise: “Alita: Battle Angel” follows the story of the titular Alita, a disembodied “core” who awakens with no memory in a post-apocalyptic world destroyed by a technological fall. Dr. Ido finds her and gives her a new body. They later discover that Alita is more than what she seems and has an extraordinary past. As she navigates her new life, she battles other machines who are empowered with skills. Continue reading Now Playing: “Alita: Battle Angel” in Theaters Everywhere (2/14/2019)→

As the snow continues to fall in NYC, some more Spring/Summer tour stuff is being revealed. PiercingMetal Thoughts: The music that Andy does as a solo artist differs greatly from the stuff he does with the Black Veil Brides and I can attest to just how catchy it is. It’s more of a danceable Darkwave vibe and I caught him in concert doing this stuff at the now shuttered Highline Ballroom. With him coming to the Gramercy when this reaches NYC, I will be on point for sure to bring you the story and a whole lot of photos. Sadly I don’t know the opening acts at all but I will be sure to arrive early to see what they are all about. What do you readers think about this tour? Will you be supporting Andy’s solo efforts? Chime in down below.
The loss of Linkin Park’s Chester Bennington still weighs heavily on the hearts and minds of millions of his fans but at least we have a wonderful catalog of music, live concert memories and scores of photographs captured along the way. With this in mind I share some cool news about a very special exhibit happening in March on the Left Coast. Check it out.
The Press Release:
In commemoration of the late CHESTER BENNINGTON– best known for being the vocalist for multi-platinum rock band Linkin Park-a special photo exhibit will take place on March 20, what would have been his 43rd birthday, at The Black Sheep Gallery in Burbank, CA featuring never-before-seen photos captured by CHESTER’s close friend and artist JIM LOUVAU.
The event will take place from 7:00 – 10:00 PM following a private VIP reception for family and friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM. A limited amount of tickets for the event are on sale now for $25, with a portion of proceeds being donated to his widow, Talinda Bennington’s charity for suicide prevention, 320 Changes Direction.
