There are a lot of exciting things going on in the music scene of my Big Metal Apple in terms of shows, special signings and releases – the upcoming tours continue to get announced and here is the latest scoop from the folks working with the legendary Alice Cooper. Check it out.
The Press Release:
Rock icon Alice Cooper, who released his 27th album Paranormal last July via earMUSIC, has announced his summer 2018 tour plans. Following on his current “A Paranormal Evening With Alice Cooper” March run, the tireless legend will embark on another North American trek. The summer tour kicks off on August 3 at the Wisconsin State Fair and winds through the U.S. and Canada before wrapping up in September.
This leg is also “A Paranormal Evening With Alice Cooper.” The Las Vegas and Los Angeles dates will feature special guest — guitarist Ace Frehley. Paranormal features special guests, such as U2’s Larry Mullen, Jr., who plays on 9 of the 12 new songs; Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top; and Deep Purple’s Roger Glover, as well as a highly anticipated mini-reunion of the original Alice Cooper band members.
In other Alice Cooper news, he will portray King Herod in the upcoming live television production of Jesus Christ Superstar! The show is set to air on Easter Sunday (April 1) on NBC.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: Though I’ve been a fan of Alice for a few decades now, I’ve only ever seen him in concert three times. I know it’s amazing right? I guess it happens as you can’t see everyone no matter how hard you want to be there. One of those times was an awesome quick free concert for Fox and I snapped a lot of photos which you can see HERE. I didn’t get to the first leg of this tour but will do my best to be a part of the second go round. I also plan on tossing a quick review of his new live EP together for the website so stay tuned for that. Closing up, I wonder what you readers think of this tour. Will you be catching him at one of these dates? Let me know down in the comments section below.
