Fans of the VH1 Classic program “That Metal Show” starring Eddie Trunk will be delighted that the premiere of the shows 14th season will air tonight. They remain in the New York Groove and will continue taping the episodes in the Big Metal Apple and that is pretty cool since the three hosts are from nearby NJ. The show has been absent in terms of new shows since April of 2014.
Some of confirmed guests for this season are guests who have participated over the past few years in Frank Bello/Charlie Benante/Scott Ian of Anthrax, John 5, Chris Jericho, Kerry King of Slayer, Dave Lombardo formerly of Slayer and now with Philm, Zakk Wylde, Michael Schenker, Ace Frehley, and Frankie Banali. Joining the show for the very first time will be punk rock legend Marky Ramone, rap icon Darryl McDaniels of Run DMC, Gary Holt of Slayer/Exodus, Taylor Momsen of The Pretty Reckless, Max Cavalera of Soulfly, Mark Farner of Grand Funk Railroad, and Andy Biersack of Black Veil Brides. Motörhead and David Coverdale from Whitesnake are confirmed to appear on the show via the “Metal Modem.”. Additional guests will be announced at a later time.
Dream Theaters John Petrucci performs during the debut episode and following him over the course of this new season will be some TMS alumni Alex Skolnick of Testament, John 5 of Rob Zombie/John 5 Trio, Joel Hoekstra of Whitesnake, and Frank Hannon of Tesla. First time performers come via Mike Orlando of Adrenaline Mob, Zakk Wylde of Black Label Society. TMS first timers will be double-neck shred-master Michael Angelo Batio, Rich Ward of Fozzy, Damon Johnson of Thin Lizzy/Black Star Riders, and Nita Strauss of Alice Cooper/The Iron Maidens.

Sadly the program does NOT yet to be available for purchase on DVD for the diehards to build a library up with the past seasons so I cannot offer you links to that. I can embed links to copies of Eddie’s “Essential Hard Rock and Heavy Metal” books though since those are interesting and give you a good background on what he has on the VH1 Classic program.
