Let me ask you something, have you been watching “Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.” at all? If so then you know that right now its on a short mid-season break and will pick up steam again in a couple of months but we don’t have to worry about missing any “Marvel-ous” action as tonight will be the grand premiere of “Marvel’s Agent Carter” and we can talk a little bit more about it in this post.
The Premise: In 1946, Peggy Carter must balance the routine office work she does for the Strategic Scientific Reserve while secretly assisting Howard Stark, who finds himself framed for supplying deadly weapons to the top bidder. Carter is assisted by Stark’s butler, Edwin Jarvis, to find those responsible and dispose of the weapons. The series features the Marvel Comics character Peggy Carter, with Hayley Atwell reprising her role from the film series, as she must balance doing administrative work and going on secret missions for Howard Stark while trying to navigate life as a single woman in 1940s America. Several characters from Marvel Cinematic Universe films appear throughout the series. (c/o Wiki)

PiercingMetal Thoughts: I’ve said it before and I will say it again about the Marvel Cinematic Universe features, “I LOVE THEM” now with that being said I am super stoked for a television show that expands upon the life of a character that we first met in one of the films. Since Peggy is part of the reason that S.H.I.E.L.D. ends up being created in the first place, I am thinking we are in for a fun filled espionage laden ride. I so hope that we will see some Marvel villains making an appearance in some fashion. I am totally anticipating some film tie ins or references to the rich history of heroes like Captain America or The Howling Commandos. They have managed to bring back AOS and given us some really interesting episodes so my expectation level is on the high side for Agent Carter and her missions that take place way in the past. What do you readers think? Interested or don’t care at all? Let me know in the comments.
