Win Tix For Adrenaline Mob In NYC 3/13/2013

Poster - Adrenaline Mob at Studio - 2013

The Scoop: The Adrenaline Mob are one of the most exciting and energetic new live bands to appear upon the Metal world that we walk upon and if you are scratching your head about the grandiose statement then you have clearly not seen the band in action yet. Maybe their name is still new to you for some reason, and if that is the case well this is the band that features Russell Allen (Symphony X), Mike Portnoy (former of Dream Theater) , Mike Orlando and John Moyer and while the music is not a Progressive kind, it’s a Groove Metal frenzy that I think comes across great on the stage. The band recently released “Coverta” (which is an album of cover tunes if you have not figured it out) and are still supporting their debut release “Omerta”. Thanks to the fine folks at Excess DB Entertainment, PiercingMetal is going to put a few fans at the show and you can see how to participate below.

When and Where: Wednesday March 13th 7pm @ The Marlin Room in Webster Hall (125 East 11th St. NYC)

To Participate: Simply tell me what interests you about this band and how they get your own Metal appreciation flowing and I will pick a few of the best submissions that we get. Maybe you have never seen them before so be sure to let us know that as well. I will be replying to the winning comments directly with my own thoughts. Remember to be sure to put your full real name in the comment form along with an email so we might reach you. Do NOT put your personal information in the comment itself out of privacy concerns. Of course it never hurts to subscribe to the comments for the duration of the contest. Get cracking.

Restrictions: While all PiercingMetal.com contests are open to our regional site readers, we look at new responders first in order to give everyone a fair shot at enjoying a show on the provider and us. Of course we still encourage all to respond because you never know just how many tickets we are offering.

  1. I already have a ticket to this show (and 3 more of their shows on this tour!), but I want to comment on how amazing this band is live! I’ve seen them play 7 times, and it’s a different experience every time, and it’s always incredibly awe inspiring. They really interact with the audience and each other throughout the entire show, and you can tell that they absolutely love what they are doing and have a blast on stage. Between Mike Orlando shredding like a beast, Russell Allen’s almost surreal vocals, Mike Portnoy’s mind blowing drumming, and John Moyer’s incredible bass grooves, you cannot go wrong with this show! Even if you don’t win the contest, go check them out for yourself!! I cannot say enough great things about these guys!! SERIOUSLY! : )

      1. Thank you so much. : ) Hopefully, I’ll see you there! Let me know if you end up going so I don’t miss you again.

  2. The first time I saw Adrenaline Mob was their very first gig at the Hiro Ballroom. I wasn’t acquainted with their music as of that time so I came into the gig 100% fresh. Upon hearing their entire album showcased, I was able to hear influences of all of Mike Portnoy’s favorite genre infused into one, a musical direction I haven’t heard from him with any of his previous endeavors. The same goes for Russell Allen, which I am a huge fan of the first Allen/Lande album. Adrenaline Mob turned out to be more of a departure from what I was use to hearing thank his work with Symphony X, even more than the “Atomic Soul” album. But his versatility showed itself very well. Then there was Mike Orlando’s playing. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve listened to the solo for “undaunted”. I’ve even lip synced the notes a few times, which is a rare feat for me. I hope his solo album is available for purchase at the gig.

I could go on and on about this band and how they are the silver lining to Mike Portnoy’s departure from Dream Theater but the album is solid and it speaks for itself.

  3. straight up …. i just love the musicians and the music. i saw their debut show last year, it was amazing. i would def love to see them again this Wednesday.

Russel’s voice with MIke’s drumming is a match made in metal heaven.

    cheers.

  4. The contest for Adrenaline Mob is closed so please no new submissions for it. Congratulations to our winners and by the way Jeremy and Gabriel, each of you can bring a guest along to the show with you. How cool is that. Simply present proper ID at the box office and ask for the venue house list. Your name should be under that. Should you encounter any issues, ask for an onsite manager and mention that this giveaway was offered to PiercingMetal by the promoters. I will be at the show as well, let’s rock this place.
