Valiant Comics #1′s On Sale In April 2015

Though there are a number of currently running series going on in Camp Valiant, there is only one first issue launching in April and so our narrative for their offerings will be a quick one. Check out the official press copy and cover below and then we’ll catch up once again.

Comic - Bloodshot Reborn 1- 2015

Bloodshot Reborn #1: From New York Times best-selling writer Jeff Lemire (THE VALIANT, Green Arrow) and red-hot rising star Mico Suayan (HARBINGER, Moon Knight), VALIANT NEXT delivers an all-new ongoing series for Valiant’s most unrelenting hero!

Bloodshot’s nanites made him a nearly unstoppable killing machine. His enhanced strength, speed, endurance, and healing made him the perfect weapon, and he served his masters at Project Rising Spirit – a private contractor trafficking in violence – very well. Now, Bloodshot is a shadow of his former self. He lives in self-imposed exile, reeling from the consequences of his past life and the recent events that nearly drove him mad. But when a rash of shootings by gunmen who appear to look just like Bloodshot begin, his guilt will send him on a mission to stop the killers, even if it means diving headlong into the violence that nearly destroyed him.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: There is really a lot of cool stuff happening over in the Valiant Universe and with Bloodshot being one of their most exciting characters this is surely going to be a good one. I was a latecomer to the original Valiant Universe but remember the hoopla that surrounded the line when “Bloodshot” #1 came out and had a Chromium cover. It was new back then and pretty much became a regular occurrence for many companies. That said this title sounds interesting so I will likely be perusing it when it arrives in the middle of the month. What do you readers think of the redeveloping Valiant Universe? Lets discuss in the comments that I have left open for you.
