PiercingMetal Thoughts: Way back in the early days I only knew of Uli from the Scorpions recordings but I never saw him live with them at the time or afterward when he began a solo career. It was not until around 2004 or 2005 when I tossed my creative hat into the writing ring and caught a show out in NJ that he was doing with the equally legendary Michael Schenker. From that moment on I was sold and said that I would catch his show whenever he came to town since you never know how often a player like this will come around. Fortunately for us all, he would return several times and be all the more exciting each and every gig. I’m not even a guitar player but I am hypnotized by the level of skills up on the stage. It’s great to find him closing up this run of dates at the famous Times Square venue of B.B. King Blues Club. I’m planning on being there and I wonder what you folks think of the tour. Let me know in the comments section below.
