PiercingMetal Thoughts: I’ve always been more of the “casual” Dead fan and that was only the case after high school when I learned to better expand my musical interests. I now view this music as a perfect complement to good times with friends in the summer months and that makes this announcement of new tour dates a very welcome thing. I’m going to do my best to be part of the vibe that goes down in Flushing, NY with one or both of the shows at Citi Field. After having seen Paul McCartney there so many years ago (documented HERE), I know that this is a great space to enjoy a concert. The music of the Grateful Dead and the spirit of the late great Jerry Garcia live on well in this new project and it gives the fans the chance to congregate together still which is never a bad thing. What do you readers think of these dates? Will you be planning on attending any of them? Let me know in the comments below, especially if you’ve seen this collaboration before and can offer newbies some insight.
