*** end of statement ***

PiercingMetal Thoughts: Though I’ve been a fan of this legendary musical figure quite a few years I’ve only ever caught him in concert a couple of times. Once was only a few short years ago and the other….well, let’s just say my younger readers weren’t even ideas yet but I digress. It’s going to be interesting to see him doing all these classic tunes as a showcase and to my knowledge he has never before toured a complete set of Deep Purple music. Let’s hope a recording of this is done as well since that would go over like gangbusters. As I’ve a mountain of “to do” in front of me and the website’s anniversary is tomorrow I am going to take my leave with a simple inquiry; What do you think about this tour? Will you attend? Will you go a couple of times? Fill me in down in the comments below.

Gene Simmons & Ace Frehley Unveil Australian Co-Headlining Dates

It’s been a general rule of mine that when I am posting about a run of tour dates here on PiercingMetal.com that the shows must have a listing in our music metropolis or at least a couple that can be reached by some form of transportation from here. Now while this is more of the standard, I do break the rule but its my website so I only have myself to scold and when I saw this going by in my Facebook Feed I just had to share it with you all. Check it out, as the legendary Gene Simmons and Ace Frehley are pairing up and doing several co-headlining shows in Australia.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: You’ve probably heard about Gene Simmons doing these “Vault” appearances for a lifelong comprehensive boxed set of his career that actually comes in a vault. If this is new information to you just click HERE to learn about it. To my knowledge Gene’s brought Ace out at some of these appearances and they’ve performed together at each others solo concerts over the last few months so the co-headlining dates make perfect sense to me. Now, my only gripe is that this is NOT happening in the USA and of course NYC where it would be a guaranteed sellout of a show. Come on gentlemen, let’s get something on the books. I’ve seen some of Simmons set lists on Setlist.fm and he is doing some deep cuts. I feel that its a given that the pair will be teaming up during each others set to deliver some KISS classics. I’ll close up now since its late and I’ve had a tiring day but as I wonder who I know in Australia that I can crash with for a few days, I also wonder what you readers think about this run of dates. Are you near enough to attend or far away and looking for a journey? Chime in down below as we love when you do that.
