The Premise: “The Battle Of The Five Armies” picks up where “The Desolation Of Smaug” left off and continues Bilbo’s adventures with the Dwarves as they seek to regain their kingdom and stave off the onslaught of ravaging Orcs. Of course there is a whole lot more going on with Bilbo, Gandalf and Gollum but there is not enough space nor time for me to jot down for you kind readers here. Opening Today: “The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug” (12/2/2013)

Hey there my friends and traveler’s to the fantasy world of Middle Earth, today is the day that the second chapter of “The Hobbit Trilogy” opens up in theaters everywhere. As with the first chapter “An Unexpected Journey” the film was produced and directed by Peter Jackson, the man behind the incredibly successful “Lord Of The Rings” trilogy. I loved those films and happily added them to my collection when they became available. Now you might remember that I had some reservations about the single book story being expanded into three films but oh well. Believe it or not I have not yet seen the first chapter and by the looks of it, I think I will be waiting for all three to be out so I can binge on them like I do with any number of series on Netflix. Are you excited about the story so far? How fast will you see it? I welcome all comments but please don’t put any spoilers in for those who hate that stuff.
