real money logo

Rock stars and reality shows are nothing new at this point in time and what started with Ozzy Osbourne and family with “The Osbournes”, led us to the Gene Simmons “Family Jewels” and the weird football documentary KISS had called “4th and Loud”. To coin a phrase, “everyone is doing it” and why shouldn’t the legendary Rocker Eddie Money be any different. The series is called “Real Money” and will broadcast in the coming week or so. Here is an extended look at the program.

About The Film: “Keep the party going when Sammy Hagar’s epic multi-night birthday bash comes to movie theatres this December. Recorded live from his Cabo Wabo Cantina in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, this one-night event will feature the best of the performances and party action from the four-day rock spectacular, plus a behind-the-scenes look at the music that spans the career of the one and only Red Rocker. “ Thanks to the fine folks at Fathom Events, some of the readers of the PiercingMetal website will be seeing it for free during the “one night only” big screen presentation.

To Participate: This will be our final contest for the 2017 year and in the interest of time I am sticking to my normal format of giving me three solid reasons why the film interests you. You can talk about Sammy live in concert as a solo artist, with Van Halen or maybe even with HSAS (bonus points if you knew that one). Stuff about his body of work and how awesome it is – just convince me about your interest in Sammy. Here are some entry guidelines.

If you are interested in seeing who these winners beat out in the competition just click over to my rundown of the nominees on THIS LINK.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: So what do you think about the outcome? Were you surprised by any of it or are you outraged at some of the choices? Remember this is what the fans rallied behind, I don’t really think there is a secreted committee doing any of this like the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Oh yeah and by the way, have you made your voice count on that roster of nominees? If you haven’t, you better get on it since bands like Judas Priest and The Cars are in the running and amount to two personal favorites of mine. My article about the nominees for that honor can be found on THIS LINK. Closing up let me say “congratulations to all of the winners”. Until next time.
