Deck The Halls With The Trans-Siberian Orchestra Winter Tour 2016 Announcement

You might recall that Staples commercial that usually starts to run around this time of the year with the popular holiday classic “Most Wonderful Time Of The Year” playing in the background. It’s the one with the father rejoicing about his children returning to classes in the coming weeks. I’ve always enjoyed that one but for me the most wonderful time of the touring announcements comes around the time as well and the joyous celebration is based on it being the news about the sensory overload that is the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. The group has just released the full Winter itinerary and it will be presenting “The Ghosts Of Christmas Eve” along with some selected hits and hit over sixty cities and with a dual company being active that is more than 100 concerts. The lengthy press release and tour dates are below the poster so grab a fresh cup of iced coffee and indulge. I’ll return at the close with some additional thoughts.

National Press Release:

“The Ghosts of Christmas Eve” Tour Launches November 17; Fan Club Pre-Sale Begins September 7; Public Tickets Available Beginning September 16

Los Angeles, CA (August 16, 2016) – Paul O’Neill launched a project in 1996 that over the past 20 years has become a critically-acclaimed, multi-platinum, musical powerhouse: Trans-Siberian Orchestra. The progressive rock group’s record-setting “rock theater” tours sell out venues year after year and have cemented TSO’s status as a must-attend, multi-generational, holiday tradition. Now, TSO’s creator/lyricist/composer O’Neill is proud to announce that in its Platinum anniversary year, the group is bringing back its treasured tale, “The Ghosts of Christmas Eve,” to 61 cities across North America beginning on November 17th and concluding, after 105 shows, with special New Year’s Eve performances in Seattle and Cleveland (see below for a full itinerary). TSO’s Winter Tour 2016 is presented nationally by the Hallmark Channel.

The tour pre-sale opens to fan club members on September 7 through September 9, with the general public on sale set to begin on September 16 (see www.trans-siberian.com for details). TSO is pleased to announce that each concert ticket purchased online will include a digital audio copy of The Ghosts of Christmas Eve. This is the first time these songs have been released in an audio package, and the album features a bonus track titled “Music Box Blues (Daryl Pediford Tribute New York 2004).”

“We Don’t Have To Dance” (Single) by Andy Black

Artist: Andy Black
Title: “We Don’t Have To Dance”
Label: Universal Music
Release Date: 3/18/2016
Genre: Power Pop/Synthwave
Rating: 4/5

You know his name from being the lead vocal presence behind the Black Veil Brides and while Mr. Biersack once went by Andy Six he now goes by either Andy Biersack (his family name) and Andy Black which is the name he uses for his solo efforts. The first single from his upcoming album “The Shadow Side” was just recently released and I wanted to give you a quick overview about it until I have the means to do a full album review. For starters this is nothing like we would get from his BVB adventures and is instead a pumping Darkwave sort of tune that has a super catchy chorus to it. Lots of synths and a danceable groove that makes me feel this could be a hit for the musician and one that finds him a completely new audience of ardent admirers. That’s all I have about it in this plain and simple observation of the single track.

3 Doors Down & Seether Unite For Summer 2015 Tour

Formed back in 1996, the band Three Doors Down became a staple of Radio Hard Rock thanks to their debut album “The Better Life” which hit the radio waves in 2000 and delivered tracks such as “Kryptonite” and “Loser”. These songs also became the staples in far too many to count cover bands sets and they remain as such to this very day. Yesterday I received some press about a summer tour that is sure going to be hot with the Rock as the band teams up with Seether. Check out the Official Press Copy below and then we can discuss a little further.

The Press Release:
Nashville, TN — 3 Doors Down has announced the band’s Summer touring plans will feature a joint run with Seether for more than a dozen dates, as well as the selection of Theory of a Deadman or Collective Soul as support in markets where Seether is not appearing. Prior to the tour, the band will be in the studio recording a new album with multi-platinum hit record producer Matt Wallace. 3 Doors Down singer Brad Arnold shares, “We’re excited to be heading in to the studio with Matt to make a new 3 Doors Down record! We can’t wait to get some of these new songs we’ve been playing live put to tape. This is shaping up to be our best album yet!”
