Pink Cigar is back in Brooklyn for their 2nd to last gig and then its back to the United Kingdom. Come down and show them how Brooklyn rocks to send them off in style.
A few weeks ago I was pitched a brief NYC tour of shows that was coming from a band who were very new to my musical ears since they hail from across the pond called Pink Cigar. They have a rocking punkish drive to them that is right up my alley and they’re visiting our neck of the woods for some intimate and sure to be exciting gigs over the next week or so starting this Saturday 11/28. The tour graphic lines them out nice and clearly for you and I’m all the more curious based on never having been in a couple of these rooms that they are making an appearance at.
Alright so there is one New Jersey appearance in this run but this is still a Big Apple invasion in my book and if you are just a little bit more curious about it but need something to push you over the edge in terms of decision making please check out their video below for the song “Twist”; Dig in and you’re welcome.
These handful of gigs remind me of what the band Naked from Finland did a few years ago when they hit several rocking zones in our Music Metropolis with some great success and my hope is that Pink Cigar goes home with the same memories and vibe along with an aching need to return to these parts soon. I will likely be hitting both the Sidewalk and the Hanks Saloon gigs on the short tour and hope to see some familiar faces at them as well. What do you say my friends, are we ready to Rock and Roll and show these Brits what NYC is all about? Let me hear you and better still, let me see you out supporting something brand new to our music scene.
