Hello my friends, today is one of those wild occurrences because its not only the Passover and Easter holidays, but its also April Fools Day and we hope that this notice finds you well. I’m ready to start an exciting month of media stuff and will be dishing out the first issues and special occurences that are heading to the racks of our local comic book retailer from the Marvel Comics side of the fence down below. So, without any further adieu, let’s get down to business. As always the larger copy and visuals come from the publicity side of the House Of Ideas but these bookend editorial notes are all us. Remember that many issues have variant covers and there are dozens of other concurrently running titles on the stands that we do not feature here.
THE HUNT FOR WOLVERINE #1: The RETURN OF WOLVERINE begins here, providing the first piece of a mystery that will leave no corner of the Marvel Universe untouched. Just as the X-Men have finally come to terms with Logan’s death, they learn a terrible secret. Old wounds will be re-opened, truths questioned, and an epic quest begun. The earliest clues to the mystery of Wolverine’s return are laid down here… who will solve it first? 56 PGS./ONE-SHOT.

CAPTAIN AMERICA #700: OUT OF TIME CONCLUSION! Cap is finally “OUT OF TIME”! PLUS: Mark Waid delivers an untold tale from Captain America’s past, featuring the classic artwork of Jack Kirby! 56 PGS.
The folks over at the House Of Ideas have not even given you a breather from the recent crop of “Venom” themed “True Believers” before hitting us hard with an additional grouping. The “Venom” titles are only a week or so in and should still be available in your participating local comic book retailer. Check out THIS LINK and contact your store if you want to be sure to get them before they run out. Trust me these were awesome and there are still more to come in the month but I digress. Now that the “Avengers: Infinity War” film has been moved up a couple of weeks and will be released at the end of April I present to you the “INFINITY” True Believers issues. Let’s have a look shall we?
TRUE BELIEVERS: THANOS THE FIRST 1: Reprinting Iron Man (1968) #55 and material
from Logan’s Run #6 (32 PGS./Rated T …$1.00)
TRUE BELIEVERS: AVENGERS VS. THANOS 1: Reprinting Avengers (1963) #125
(32 PGS./Rated T …$1.00)
PiercingMetal Thoughts: These eight titles are MUST HAVE’S for any comic collector worth their salt and I can tell you that I’ve already contacted my supplier of the printed stuff to set aside a couple of copies of each one as soon as they become available. As I’ve stated numerous times before when it comes to the “True Believers” line of titles. They are the perfect reading copy for the conventional collector but more importantly, they are the perfect way to get a younger reader into the hobby. How awesome is it to get a pile of comic books that will end up costing you less than a cup of coffee and Danish at your local Starbucks. There are some awesome reprints in this bunch that feature Thanos, The Avengers, Captain Marvel and more tidbits from the Cosmic side of the fence. I’ll close up now but tell me my friends, what do you think about this group of “True Believers” issues? Will you be picking them up? Let me know down in the comments section below. See you next time.
Hello my friends and welcome to March. By now I am hoping that some of you had gotten out to see the “Black Panther” film. I managed to see it yesterday because I was tied up with the Toy Fair and then a bunch of shows around the time that it opened up. The film is exciting and loaded with action and new visual worlds that makes the Marvel Cinematic Universe a bigger and better place. As you can see, there are a lot of cool titles launching this month along with some special editions and one-shots. Let’s take a look at them with the provided press and images. I’ll close out as usual at the close. Here we go.
DAMNATION: JOHNNY BLAZE GHOST RIDER #1: DAMNATION TIE-IN! Johnny Blaze takes the fight to a different devil than he usually faces — Mephisto! But Mephisto will show Johnny his own brand of suffering — and give Johnny PLENTY of reasons for vengeance.
Coming this March, in honor of Venom’s 30th Anniversary, the next round of “True Believers” titles are going to be focused on the popular Anti-hero, Super-Villain, Deadliest Foe of the Amazing Spider-Man and whatever other title you choose to give him. Venom is one of the most unforgettable faces in the Marvel Universe and I am really excited about this next go-round. Check out the covers that we will find hitting the racks in the coming weeks down below.
TRUE BELIEVERS: VENOM – SYBIOSIS #1: Reprinting Web of Spider-Man (1985) #1
Hello there my readers and “Welcome To February”!!! How are you doing so far in 2018? I hope that the New Year is treating you alright. If you’ve been following us since the bell first tolled on this one, then you know it’s been very, very busy here. So with the upcoming “Black Panther” movie opening up in a couple of weeks, I’ve given Marvel Comics the chance to be our first comic book report of the month. As you’ll see there are a great bunch of first issues, one-shots and special editions coming. We did hit an anniversary for one of the “Spider-Man” titles so I’ve featured that as well. As expected, the copy below comes from their official resources along with the images but the closing editorial is all me. Let’s take a look at what will be on the stands this month.
