I have to admit that I’ve been on a bit of a Marvel Studios high over the last few weeks after seeing “Black Panther”. It was so good and has made over $1.1 billion dollars at the global box office. Have you seen it yet? If you haven’t you are going to want to because it gives us a nice look at Wakanda which I am sure will play some part in the upcoming “Avengers: Infinity War” film that opens on April 27th. Now all the vibe is going to that film and we’ve just received a second trailer for the film. Let’s start off the Friday properly, and watch…..
The Premise: As the Avengers and their allies have continued to protect the world from threats too large for any one hero to handle, a new danger has emerged from the cosmic shadows: Thanos. A despot of intergalactic infamy, his goal is to collect all six Infinity Stones, artifacts of unimaginable power, and use them to inflict his twisted will on all of reality. Everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment – the fate of Earth and existence itself has never been more uncertain. (thanks Wiki). Hey there readers, this is just a quick note to say Congratulations!!! to Marvel’s “Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.” on reaching it’s 100th episode which will air tonight on ABC. It’s a Marvel Television series and falls into the timeline of the big budget films that make up the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Here is the poster of celebration.
It was about a month ago that Netflix first gave us the full-trailer for the second season of Marvel’s “Jessica Jones” and if you missed that post just click HERE to catch up with us. Okay now that you are back you’re probably eager to get your binge on as the full second season is available for streaming as you read this. Below you can find the premise of the season along with the poster and casting.
The Premise: Following the tragic end of her brief superhero career, Jessica Jones tries to rebuild her life as a private investigator, dealing with cases involving people with remarkable abilities in New York City. After her encounter with Kilgrave, Jones begins to put her life back together, taking on a new case that makes her reluctantly confront her past and who she really is. (thanks Wiki).
Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones
Rachael Taylor as Patricia “Trish” Walker
Carrie-Anne Moss as Jeri Hogarth
Eka Darville as Malcolm Ducasse
Leah Gibson as Ingrid
J.R. Ramirez as Oscar
David Tennant as Kilgrave
PiercingMetal Thoughts: I’ve already mentioned that I am a fan of these shows so I will not expand upon that at this time. I’ll be watching it at some point but I will not be binge watching the same way that my friends do because once its over its over there is nothing else as far as Marvel shows goes. Are you planning on binging this one? Have you seen the other shows and are now well-grounded in the Marvel Small Screen Universe? If you still need to start, here is the running order that you should do: Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Daredevil (Season 2), Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Defenders and The Punisher. It’s a lot to watch sure but trust me its worthwhile time spent if you are a fan of this stuff. Closing up let me remind our MCU viewing readers that “Thor: Ragnarok” is now on Blu-ray and DVD for you to add to your collection AND perhaps the coolest news of all – “Avengers: Infinity War” is now opening up at the end of April instead of May. See you next time.
Sure a few thousand lucky fans got to see “Black Panther” last night and during the exclusive industry previews but for the rest of the world the film opens TODAY in theaters everywhere and I couldn’t be more happy about it. Those watching the continuing and building adventures in the Marvel Cinematic Universe first saw the Black Panther in “Captain America: Civil War” and since those scenes they have been clamoring for his solo feature. Let’s remind of the casting and light premise after the Official Theatrical Poster below.
Premise: After the events of Captain America: Civil War, King T’Challa returns home to Wakanda but soon finds his sovereignty challenged by factions within his own country. When two enemies conspire to bring down the kingdom, T’Challa must team up, as the Black Panther, with C.I.A. agent Everett K. Ross and members of the Dora Milaje—Wakanda’s special forces—to prevent a world war. (thanks Wiki). Continue reading Opening: “Black Panther” in Theaters Everywhere (2/16/2018)→
As you readers are fully aware by now, we just love sharing the exciting trailers for all of the superhero films that keep on being released as this stuff works very well with our regular comic book posts. We’re also tremendous fans and especially of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. With that said please check out the Teaser Trailer for the upcoming “Ant-Man and The Wasp” film which was unveiled only a short time ago. I’ve followed the clip with premise and casting and will chime in briefly at the close.
