With “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” opening up in the coming days, I discovered a healthy batch of character posters and the like and felt that the readers of this site might enjoy them because so many are awesome. I’ll begin the visual journey with the Official Theatrical Poster.
Having just recently seen “Thor: Ragnarok” earlier in the week, and getting the see the full trailer for the upcoming “Black Panther” film on the big screen as one of the coming attractions, I was pretty stoked when I learned of a bevy of character posters from the film being released yesterday afternoon. If you haven’t seen this trailer yet, please hit up the post we did about it on THIS LINK and chime in with your thoughts about it. I love getting a dialogue on about these films after all. The “11” new character posters will follow the Official Theatrical one below. Let’s go.
The excitement for the upcoming “Justice League” film is building up as the NY Comic Con approaches and there are many who believe that a longer trailer will be coming at some time during the event. We will be hitting that happening as a member of the press once more and when we know something has been revealed you can bet your bottom dollar that it will be shared here with you. This post is to showcase a few groups of character posters that started to get shared around the web. Normally I would give each grouping their own post but this time around I decided to leave them all in one. Let’s get started.
The first grouping of the five members that we will see is a tad dramatic and captures the heroes in front of a nice solid black. I liked these as they served the purpose well.
I guess it was about a month ago that I showcased some character posters for the second season of the Netflix Original Series “Stranger Things”. They were cool and showcased some new additions to the cast and here we are once again with a new batch of visuals. This time around, Netflix has given us posters that are done in honor of some classic Horror and Science Fiction movies of the past. I really liked these and think that you will as well. They follow the show premise and I’ll close up with some additional editorial thoughts.
The Premise: Stranger Things is set in the fictional rural town of Hawkins, Indiana, during the early 1980s. The nearby Hawkins National Laboratory ostensibly performs scientific research for the United States Department of Energy, but secretly does experiments into the paranormal and supernatural, including those that involve human test subjects. These start to affect the unknowing residents of Hawkins in calamitous ways. (thanks Wiki)
The folks at Fox recently released a few character posters from their upcoming series “The Gifted” and since I love sharing that sort of stuff with you readers I wanted to finally attend to it. In these posters we get four of the new mutants that will be appearing on the show and by “new” I mean for the first time on an X-Men related property. Unless I am mistaken we have not seen any of these characters before (besides Blink). Dig in.
The Premise: Two ordinary parents take their family on the run from the government when they discover that their children have mutant abilities, and join an underground community of mutants who have to fight to survive. (thanks Wiki).
