A few hours ago I learned the sad news about the passing of the legendary Adam West who portrayed DC Comics “Batman” on the cult favorite television show that bore the same name. The actor’s passing was announced by his family and their message follows his photo. Mr. West was 88 years old and this news hit me hard as it was another part of my youthful development leaving this plane for the Great Beyond.
“It’s with great sadness that we are sharing this news…Adam West passed away peacefully last night after a short but brave battle with leukemia. He was a beloved father, husband, grandfather, and great-grandfather. There are no words to describe how much we’ll miss him. We know you’ll miss him too and we want you to know how much your love and support meant to him throughout the years. Hug your loved ones today. – The West Family”

Keeping up with the monthly new first issues from the comic book side here are the latest offerings out from DC Comics. As usual the art and press copy originates from their provisions and while there are NUMEROUS titles concurrently running we are only showcasing the brand new title launches and some special editions that I wanted to direct you to.
