Staramba Presents: “Black Veil Brides” Band 3D Figurines

A few weeks ago I posted an item about the 3D figurines of the band Doro by the Staramba company in Berlin, and if you missed that for some reason please click on THIS LINK since there was a whole press release about it as well as some thoughts from our editorial command HQ. Now alyou are caught up, it seems as though the company has also created 3D figurines for the Melodic Metalcore sensations The Black Veil Brides. If you don’t know the name for some reason, the Black Veil Brides are an American Rock band formed in California with a huge fanbase, BVB Army, all over the world. Current line up: Andy Biersack (lead vocals), Ashley Purdy (bass), Jake Pitts (lead guitar), Jinxx (rhythm guitar) and Christian “CC” Coma (drums). I didn’t have an actual press release about this batch and will instead let the photos do the talking and then return at the close with some editorial input.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: A lot of what I said about the Doro figurines applies here as well, so some of this is a repeat of those thoughts. I do think that these figurines look nice, but again I have to say that they are for an extremely limited audience. Doro has her finite group of ardent admirers and the very same applies for the BVB. When one considers the demographic of a typical BVB show, its mostly younger girls and are these the types that are purchasing figurines like this? I am not too sure to be completely honest. The difference that these statuettes might find in their advantage is that BVB fans are hard core and while Andy Biersack will likely be the biggest seller or the group, the rest of the guys also have their legions so will find some more purchasing. Remember that these are not action figures and are only 3D miniature replicas so if you are not a super fan of the whole band in everything that comes out that features them you might be giving these a pass. They are also about $40 USD each which might be thought of as a bit pricey depending on your age. I am not a statue person myself, despite seeing some truly cool Batman offerings at the DC Direct booth at this year’s Toy Fair, but as far as musicians are concerned if its a statue that is not KISS, Motley Crue or something with a horrific visage and accessories to it I will be giving a pass. I might have had a different opinion if they resembled the bands era when I first caught them in all their shocking attire. What do you readers think of these Black Veil Brides figurines? Are they something that you are ordering for your display shelves? Let me know in the comments section below.
