Opening: “War For The Planet Of The Apes” in Theaters Everywhere (7/14/2017)

Hello readers, so yeah here we are again with another film opening announcement. There have been a lot of them to speak of on the website and I have to say that its never been a better time to be into the Science Fiction and Super-hero stuff. “Spider-Man: Homecoming” opened up last week and has been doing gangbusters so its safe to say that this is another winner for Marvel Studios in terms of the creative side but this post is about “War For The Planet Of The Apes”. It’s the third film in the newer “Planet Of The Apes” franchise and if we can trust the trailers it looks great. Check out the official theatrical poster below and then some more details about the film.

The Premise: Following the events of Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, Caesar and his ape colony are embroiled in a battle with an army of humans. When the apes suffer heavy losses, Caesar wrestles with his darker instincts as he resolves to avenge his kind. The battle puts Caesar against the humans’ leader, a merciless Colonel, in an encounter that will determine the fate of their species and Earth’s future. (thanks Wiki).

PiercingMetal Thoughts: I’ve already mentioned that despite loving the trailers that have been presented, that I will NOT be seeing this for the time being while its enjoying its theatrical run. I missed the second film and just haven’t found the time to sit down and enjoy it and since I must have a sense of continuity in my geekisms, I need to follow a certain practice. What I mean is that I must see the first, then the second before enjoying the third. I am sure a lot of you are like this as well. Anyway. What about you readers? Will you be lining up to see this one on the opening weekend or are you planning on hitting the “Spider-Man: Homecoming” film now that its been open a week already. That reminds me I need to finalize my own non-spoiler review of the film. So stay tuned for that and also let me know what you think of the idea of seeing this one on opening weekend. As a reminder, if you see the film and love it, do not say anything more than that as a comment please. We don’t want spoiler stuff posted here at all. See you later and have a nice weekend.
