Brief (non-spoiler) Premise: 22 years after the failed opening of Jurassic Park on Isla Nublar, siblings Zach and Gray Mitchell take a Christmas vacation to Jurassic World, its fully functional dinosaur theme park successor, to visit their aunt Claire Dearing, the park operations manager. Upon arriving on the island, they find that Claire, having just finished an investor tour and scheduled for more meetings, is too busy to spend time with them and leaves them in the care of her assistant Zara. Simon Masrani, the park’s owner, arrives and takes Claire to see their new genetically modified dinosaur, the Indominus rex. Upon inspection, he tells her he wants Owen Grady, a Velociraptor expert and trainer, to make sure the enclosure is adequately secure.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: Months ago when we first got the trailer I was hooked. I really loved the first “Jurassic Park” film along with the sequel and in some sense I even found some sparks in the third go round based on the dinosaurs that we found menacing the human cast. The new film looks exciting as all get out and having seen what Indominus Rex looks like in toy form, I cannot wait to see it manifested on the big screen as it makes short work on the menu item of the day. Its been many years since I’ve owned any toy dinosaurs and I can tell you this, I sure do want an Indominus Rex on one of my shelves. I also love that the film features Chris “Star-Lord” Pratt in it since he is a fun actor with a quirky mannerism and Bryce Dallas Howard is also enjoyable. What about you readers? Will you be seeing this film? I am planning on going some time next week since its the first open days that I have on my social calendar so if you see it please don’t post any spoilers below this narrative and simply leave it as “you loved it” or “you hated it” (I don’t need to know the reasons why in all honesty). Speaking of spoilers, you might NOT want to click the Official Wiki entry for the film below until after you have seen it yourself. Those pages tend to line out all the plot and spoiler stuff so don’t say that I didn’t warn you.

  1. The movie was like Jurassic park 10.0 – serious roller coaster ride. I jumped, squeezed my eyes tightly closed, yelped…saw it in 3D- It was amazing!
