PiercingMetal Thoughts: Yawn. I’m so drained from the amount of anguish that this particular reboot has caused in my fanboy heart that I really don’t have much more to say. The plot seems thin and introduces characters that were never a part of the original Fantastic Four mythos and while it appears that we shall indeed have more of a proper Doctor Doom, the fact that they were lining out that he was going to be an angry blogger for months should have the writers driven out of Hollywood. Too many changes to the basic premise and idealogy that is the Fantastic Four. I am passionate about this team since its Marvel Comics canon. It’s the one that started it all and to change it so much makes me feel that the two films that preceded this one from about ten years ago will look like masterpieces in comparison. I sadly don’t have faith in the film and think it needs to be a franchise that is back in the capable hands of Marvel Studios. Pretty funny how Marvel Comics has cancelled the “Fantastic Four” comic book and killed the cast of the film in an issue of “The Punisher”. Of course they have maintained that none of this was related to the film being released. Yeah sure, I will buy that and do you also have a bridge to sell me on the moon? I will very likely see this film but at some kind of discount matinee provided the reviews are at least marginally good. If they are panning this at every turn I will wait on HBO to get it. What do you readers think about this one? Are you planning on seeing this one? If not, do you think that you will see “Ant-Man” again? Come to think of it I think that is what I will do with the money. See you next time.
