Hey you lucky Metal ducks, you will be happy to learn that the mighty Nightwish will be returning to the North American region for a second leg on their “Endless Forms Most Beautiful” tour that will start in the beginning of 2016. This is great news if they didn’t come to your neck of the woods with the first leg. I’ve copied some of the Official Press release for you along with the poster and then I will add some thoughts of my own. Let’s get started.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: Alright, this is quite a bit of a time away from happening but isn’t it awesome news just the same? For me it’s without hesitation that I say that Nightwish are one of my very favorite experiences in the Metal Scene of today. They are relevant, powerful and exciting and as I’ve said on numerous occasions were the band that actually kicked off my music journalist adventures based on how they affected me with that first ever NYC show at L’Amour over a decade ago. The first night of the 2015 North American Tour back in April was a true testament as to where Metal is at this point in time and that is not an offense to the legacy acts and those who laud their accomplishments at all. For me Nightwish is one of those bands that respects where Metal has come from and shows us where it’s going next. That said this second go round should be just as successful and as exciting so get your tickets as soon as you notice that they are available. Let’s add to the bonus factor the awesome sounds of Delain who made a lot of new fans that last time around. Yeah you might be feeling a little cheated since Sabaton is not on this return visit but don’t worry that much. I am sure we shall see the return of those camo wearing Metallers soon enough. So how do you readers feel about the return of Nightwish to our region? Will you go this time around if it’s closer? Will you go again even if it involves some travel? Let me know in the comments below as they have been left open for you to do so.
