Marvel Comics First Issues Coming In November 2016

Well hello you Marvel Maniacs, it’s time to get excited about some more comic books that will be coming this month from the House Of Ideas and there are quite a few interesting first issues hitting the stands in November. Hopefully a lot of you were able to enjoy some of the offerings from “Halloween Comicfest” which was this past weekend because there were some interesting titles to choose from and all with some kind of spooky theme to them. I have a handful to sit and read once time allows and considering how many Marvels are coming out this month I better find some quiet time soon. Many of these offerings will also have a special variant cover to enjoy and add to your collection if you jump to those things. Among them you can look for “Action Figure” variants, “Captain America 75th Anniversary” variants, “Black Panther 50th Anniversary” variants and “Hip-Hop Cover” variants. Too bad Marvel Comics doesn’t feel like doing some Rock and Metal variants but I guess my pocket doesn’t’ get as empty by them not doing that. Here are the first issues and some special editions coming in November. As usual the press copy is taken from Marvels side of the fence along with the cover art. Enjoy.

BLACK PANTHER: WORLD OF WAKANDA #1: “YOU DESERVED SO MUCH MORE, LITTLE FLOWER. YOU DESERVED A WAKANDA THAT CHERISHED YOU.” Writer ROXANE GAY (Bad Feminst, Hunger) spins a Wakandan love story — its tenderness matched only by its brutality. You know them now as The Midnight Angels, but in this story they are just Ayo and Aneka, young women recruited to become Dora Milaje, an elite task force trained to protect the crown at all costs. What happens when your nation needs your hearts and minds, but you already gave them to each other? Illustrated by industry veteran ALITHA E. MARTINEZ (Iron Man, Black Panther). And in a special backup story, acclaimed poet YONA HARVEY (Hemming the Water) explores the true origins of The People’s mysterious leader Zenzi. Black Panther thinks he knows who Zenzi is and how she got her powers, but he only knows part of the story… Illustrated by rising star AFUA RICHARDSON (Genius).

"Occupy Avengers" #1
“Occupy Avengers” #1

OCCUPY AVENGERS #1: Super heroes – they’re a privileged class. Doing what they want, when they want and suffering no consequences. They have no regard for the ordinary people who are left behind to suffer in their wake. Who will stand up for the little guy? There is a man. If you can find him, and if he believes in your story, he and his friends will put things right. Some call them outlaws, rebels, Robin Hoods. To others, they are heroes. PiercingMetal Thoughts: I’m too excited for the opening of “Doctor Strange” tomorrow to better sink my teeth into what I like the most in the batch for this month but I shall try. Generally anything “Amazing Spider-Man” wins for me, and I love what is happening with the latest “Ghost Rider” on “Agents Of SHIELD” so I am willing to give that a go. Perhaps the “Avengers” as well but the rest I will need to examine in person before I decide if a purchase is in order. What do you readers think about this month’s “Marvelous” offerings? Let me know in the comments section below.
