Hey there True Believer, can you believe that the summer is already in full sway and making its way towards its end. I have to say that it has been a pretty hot one here in NYC and this temperature was likely increased by the fantastic “Ant-Man” film from Marvel Studios. If you have not seen that one yet, make sure that you do and please be aware that there is not one, but two awesome bonus scenes at the end of the film. One middle credits and the other after they have completed. Now let’s get onto the titles that are starting off this month of August. Yes there are still a lot of currently running books but I just post about the new launches for easiest getting into the hobby enjoyment. I will be back after the covers and premises that we get from Marvel publicity. All of these issues outside of the “House Of M” title are One-shot editions.

It’s just another Monday for Howard the Human brought to you by Skottie Young (ROCKET RACCOON) and Jim Mahfood (MIAMI VICE REMIX).

PiercingMetal Thoughts: So there you have it my friends, a tantalizing taste for your One-Shot issue collecting mania. I used to love these particular kinds of books since they sit so nicely in the back of the series that they relate to or even in their own quantifying section of your comic box. Try either one since both work. Now my hope is that none of you have chosen to brave the just released “Fantastic Four” film because the advance and post-release reviews are in and they are in a 90 against 10 percent viewpoint that this film is horrendous. Some sources have graded it an “F” and that was not just to be punny. Even the director Josh Trank said something about it and blamed Fox. With that said I would rather spend my hard earned drachma on some of these titles and count the days until Marvel Cinematic Universes Phase Three begins. Let’s hope that Fox finally opts to release the property back to Marvel Studios and that Disney does NOT offer them the same sort of deal that they did with Sony for the use of Spider-Man. I honestly don’t think the fans of the MCU are missing the FF all that much to make them even necessary but it would be nice to have them here as well. Now, what do these titles do for you as a fan of the medium? Please let me know in the comments below so I see where you stand. Back with more soon, and sorry for the lateness of this post but there was just so much Metal to dish out that I could not get this to you earlier. Until next time, Make Mine Marvel 🙂
