While clicking around the bands in Facebook I learned of the group Splintered Halo and that they had offered up a single from a forthcoming album with the song “Mad Love”. The longtime comic book fan in me found this amusing since it’s a song sung as if Harley Quinn herself was doing it and it tells about the dramatic and often psychotic nature of their dark romance. Singer Evilyn does a great impersonation of the “Batman The Animated Series” Harley Quinn voice and on the art for the single appears to be dressed as a DC Comics Bombshells version of the character.

Now if you have watched the popular cartoon and find Harley’s voice to be annoying then this track will likely send you over to Arkham Asylum faster than The Batman could ever hope to but if you can deal, then I think you will make Mr. J. very happy since the song is about him in a sense. Musically this is a solid bit of Alternative Metal with a definite dose of the Avant Garde. I mean come on, she is singing as if she was Harley Quinn. Based on what I have seen in their photos, Splintered Halo are from Glasgow, Scotland and all sport masks and have comic and horror themed names. For instance, a couple of the members are named Slender and Jabberwocky. I am going to try to get my hands on some more music and speak about it since keeping the new and interesting or weird stuff in your databanks is what we are all about here.
