In This Moment Brings The “Hellpop Tour II” In 2014

Fans of In This Moment will surely dig this news as the band just recently announced that the “Hellpop Tour II” will commence in January 2014. I caught that very interesting tour back in November when they played at the Best Buy Theater and more details follow the poster.

Tour - In This Moment - Hell Pop II - 2014

I’ve copied some of the original press release for your edification “In This Moment are currently in the midst of their Hellpop Tour, and now the band has announced a second leg that will kick off Jan. 2. Opening bands will be Butcher Babies, Devour the Day and All Hail the Yeti. The 16-date Hellpop Tour II launches in Portland, Ore. and will traverse the country, ending up in Florida just in time for In This Moment to embark on the ShipRocked cruise. ‘Whore’ is the latest single from In This Moment’s ‘Blood’ album, and is currently climbing the rock charts. “I am so proud and excited for the world to hear ‘Whore’,” says vocalist Maria Brink. “The message behind this song is taking back control. It is about taking the power from a disgusting and degrading word and turning it back around on the accuser. It’s about self-empowerment, love and liberation. This is an honest and raw movement that needs to be heard.”

Thanks Maria, so for those who might have caught the show that I did in November, you can see there are a couple of differences in the roster since Butcher Babies and Devour The Day have replaced Motionless In White and KYNG. I’ve seen In This Moment on numerous occasions and have always enjoyed their shows. I’ve watched them from debut appearances in a region to varied lineup changes and admired at how they keep pushing and rising in the hearts of their fans. I’ve seen Butcher Babies a couple of times already and am impressed by how fast they are climbing in popularity. Good for them and they certainly do give the audience a lot on the stage. Having not seen Devour The Day I cannot speak on them but I figure this is going to be a fun show for anyone who attends. To me, the ITM presentation was a little bit Lady Gaga and a little bit Alice Cooper and if you don’t know what I mean by that well, I guess you just have to see it in person or look up some clips on YouTube.
