Based on the amount of Metal tours that are starting off just as 2016 is getting itself into gear, I am pretty confident that the absolute inferno heat that they will be causing will melt whatever snow has hit us and send us to an early sticky summer. The latest press announcement that I have received here at the Metal Command HQ is the upcoming tour by Fleshgod Apocalypse who will be joined by both Carach Angren and Abigail Williams. The entire run is sponsored by the folks at Metal Injection. Check out the poster and the press copy below and then I’ll return with some closing thoughts.

Tour - Fleshgod Apocalypse - Winter NA 2016

The Press Release:
Italian symphonic-death metal masters FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE, will return to North America for a headlining tour sponsored by Metal Injection this February! Joining them are fast rising extreme metal conjurers CARACH ANGREN, along with Candlelight recording artist ABIGAIL WILLIAMS.

Comments FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE:

“We are super stoke to finally return to the US and Canada! To celebrate the release of our upcoming album King, we are going to play a special show for you. Lots of new elements and features will be presented during an extended set, which will include songs from Labyrinth and several classics! “Also, it will be great to share the stage with our dutch brothers from CARACH ANGREN, and the crazy american black metal act ABIGAIL WILLIAMS. We already know it’s going to be a blast! See you there and hail to the King!”

CARACH ANGREN adds:

“We are very thrilled to return the horror to the USA & Canada! After bringing Death to the Phantom Ship in Florida we will set foot on mainland for the entire month of February. PiercingMetal Thoughts: I’ve seen Fleshgod Apocalypse a number of times now and truly enjoy their brand of Symphonic Death Metal. It’s truly something that transfers to the live sense with a level of power that needs to be witnessed in person. I’m pretty sure that anyone else who has seen them will agree with me about their overall live presence and how it brings you into the Metal with majesty and impact. To date I have never seen this band do more than a 6 or 8 song set and its never been as a headlining act so this is sure to be impressive. I don’t know all that much about Carach Angren I’m afraid so will be using this tours stop in NYC as my primer to get me up to speed. They sure do look intense and that will be a fun photographic experience for anyone who sports a camera that night. Abigail Williams are a band that I have always enjoyed since first hearing them live at B.B. King’s now so many years ago. Though there have been numerous lineup changes in the roster, their key creative force is within Sorceron and he knows how to skillfully craft dark melodies that will tear into your soul. What do you readers think of this particular tour? Is it something heavy enough for you to plunk down your heard earned dollars on? Let me know in the comments section below because I love hearing from you about this stuff.
