Welcome back and we are here showcasing the coolness that DC Comics is issuing during their “Convergence” storyline. This is week number two of the initiative and since there are a lot of titles I’m going to leave you to the press copy and covers so you absorb it even better with limited sidebar from me. I will touch base at the close for good measure just the same. All of the titles below will be released on April 15th.
Convergence #2: As Telos, the Planet Incarnate, easily defeats the survivors of Earth 2, Thomas Wayne and Dick Grayson set off to find help in the pre-Flashpoint Gotham City. The emotional implication of these worlds colliding comes crashing down when Thomas Wayne confronts this world’s Batman, as father meets son! Plus, Alan Scott’s attempts to connect with The Green yield unexpected results, setting our team on a quest to escape the planet. And the cyborgs of Futures End engage in a battle to the death against the reimagined heroes of the Just Imagine Universe, while the city of Superman Red and Blue takes on the opposing forces from GENERATIONS!

PiercingMetal Thoughts: I have to admit that this weeks run finds the return of a couple of characters I liked a lot and among them the Superboy we had after The Death Of Superman along with the original Suicide Squad and Supergirl (the Matrix one). Many are saying this storyline was being done while the offices of DC Comics headed to the West Coast and I guess that makes sense in a way. Why not have a couple of month storyline set in stone while you close one office, move to the other and get settled in as opposed to scrambling while there was so much upheaval going on. Are you readers following this “Convergence” tale or not? Like it? Hate it? Let me know in the comments below if you are so inclined. As mentioned in the narrative for Week One of the “Convergence” I will be returning on subsequent weeks with the issues being released. This will be better than trying to digest forty titles.
