Greetings comic book fans, I’m taking a moment to direct your attention to some economically priced issues that are heading our way in July. The folks at DC Comics have decided to reprint some of their “Rebirth” titles with a new branding of “Justice League Essentials” and price them at the easily affordable buck and you’ll want to snag them all when they hit the stands. This is being done to spark up additional interest in the upcoming film I guess so take a look at what we get.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: Before I continue, you might be wondering where the “Wonder Woman” title is in this mix of offerings and please note that the famous Amazon had her “Rebirth” issue reprinted for the recent “Wonder Woman Day” that was previously discussed on the website. Sadly, we missed that freebie issue ourselves and would have loved the chance to purchase it for a mere buck and essentially have a complete “Justice League” set. I’m glad that DC has decided to do this and feel it should be a more common practice since Marvel Comics has found such success with their “True Believers” line of titles. The customers are my local comic book retailers eat these affordable issues up like hotcakes and as I’ve mentioned time and time again they are the perfect gift for some younger fan who you wish to get interested in the hobby and teach about collecting the stuff, They also offer longtime fans a nice reading copy should their original be ensconced in a boarded bag in a long box somewhere in their home. These issues arrive in July and that is also the month that the Comic Con International: San Diego happens and we are hoping for a longer, new trailer for the upcoming “Justice League” film. “Wonder Woman” was clearly a winner at the box office so fans of the DC films are hopeful that this film that brings them all together will do the same. Only time will tell and speaking of telling, what do you readers think of these affordable issues? Will you be adding all of them to your collection or just a couple. I know I am grabbing at least two of each for good measure. Until next time.
