The Background:
Battle as Eddie in his many guises across worlds inspired by the rich lore and music of Iron Maiden – one of the most iconic and influential bands of all time. A mysterious force has shattered Eddie’s soul and scattered the shards. Travel through time and space collecting the pieces as you encounter a cast of dramatic and engaging characters. A powerful soundtrack enhances gameplay, using songs spanning Iron Maiden’s entire career, including previously unheard live recordings adapted for the game by engineer Tony Newton under the close scrutiny of Steve Harris.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: When I first heard of this idea I immediately thought back to my “Ed Hunter” CD because it was not only a kick ass greatest hits collection but it had a gaming CD component to it as well. Yep, just put the disc into your PC’s compact disk drive and you would be transported into a world that was very reminiscent of numerous points in Iron Maiden history. If was a first person shooter and you would be tasked with killing tons of creepy ghouls as you quested after Eddie The Head (that’s his full name BTW). When you consider how most of us don’t ever look away from our mobile devices nowadays I can see this free game being something big in the eyes of the Metal fans. I know that I am looking forward to it because I am getting tired of the heart palpitations I get from “Subway Surfer” and “Hungry Shark”. This will be something welcome on my mobile device especially since we never seemed to get that KISS Angry Birds that was discussed a few years ago. What do you readers think of this pending development? Will you be keeping some necessary space on your device by limiting your photos of food, drink and the ever prominent selfie? Let us know in the comments section and until we see “Iron Maiden Legacy Of The Beast” in the Google Play Store (we are Android users here) I leave you with a rousing “Up The Irons”.
