Tonight: “Siren” on Freeform Network (3/29/2018)

Way back in April of last year, I showcased the first official trailer for the upcoming Freeform series “Siren”. Click HERE if you didn’t see it or don’t remember seeing it so you are more up to speed with us. That show airs tonight on this relatively new network so check your listings for when its on or being repeated so you can check it out. I’ve repeated the casting and premise below this dramatic poster as well.

The Plot: The coastal town of Bristol Cove, known for its legend of once being home to mermaids, is turned upside down when a mysterious girl (Eline Powell) appears and begins wreaking havoc upon the small fishing town. Marine biologists Ben (Alex Roe) and Maddie (Fola Evans-Akingbola) work together to find out who and what drove this primal hunter of the deep sea to land, and are there more like her out there?

The Premise: In the year 2045, much of Earth’s population centers have become slum-like cities due to overpopulation, pollution, corruption, and climate change. To escape their desolation, people engage in the virtual reality world of the OASIS (Ontologically Anthropocentric Sensory Immersive Simulation), where they can engage in numerous activities for work, education, and entertainment.

Wade Watts is a teenager from Columbus, Ohio who frequents the OASIS and attempts to win “Anorak’s Quest”, a game created by the recently-deceased creator of the OASIS, James Halliday, in search of its Easter Egg. The winner is to be granted full ownership of the OASIS and Halliday’s $500 billion fortune. While Wade works with several friends from the OASIS to discover Anorak’s treasure, Innovative Online Industries (IOI), an evil corporation lead by CEO Nolan Sorrento, employs a number of Sixers to try to discover the treasure first and seize control of OASIS for themselves.

Marvel & Disney Unveil “Avengers: Infinity War” Shared Posters

Spring is here (despite it still being cold) and we are just about a month away from the release of “Avengers: Infinity War” and every time there is a reveal of some kind I find myself getting all “geek excited”. About a month ago we shared a whole bunch of Character Art Posters the Entertainment Weekly Magazine showcased “15” different character covers. When the time came for the Final Official Trailer around St. Patrick’s Day I thought that would be it – but I was wrong. Earlier, the studio released “5” more character posters that place a few heroes onto each one. Let’s have a look shall we? I’m starting with the Final Theatrical Poster and the films premise before it continues along.

The Premise: As the Avengers and their allies have continued to protect the world from threats too large for any one hero to handle, a new danger has emerged from the cosmic shadows: Thanos. A despot of intergalactic infamy, his goal is to collect all six Infinity Stones, artifacts of unimaginable power, and use them to inflict his twisted will on all of reality. Everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment – the fate of Earth and existence itself has never been more uncertain. (thanks Wiki).
