Airing Tonight: “Marvel Studios: Assembling A Universe” (3/18/2014)

I’ve been wearing my interests on my sleeve for a few years now on the PiercingMetal Blog when it comes to the Marvel Cinematic Universe films and how they are tying the comics that I have loved for many years together and that makes me excited to let you know that airing tonight will be a special program called “Marvel Studios: Assembling A Universe”….

Now all I have had to go by about this program is that its going to take us back to the beginning of the building of this sensational comic book universe and tell how they have managed to tie them all together in terms of the characters. Fans who were paying attention will easily recall the goosebumps that they got at the end of “Incredible Hulk” when none other than Tony Stark (also known as Iron Man) walked into a bar where General Ross was drowning his troubles and said “what if I told you we were putting a team together”. My apologies if you never saw this but come on people this was eight films ago so you should be with the program. I will also add how I almost launched from my seat at the closing of “Captain America: The First Avenger” when they showed a 90 second look at “Marvels The Avengers”. Anyway, that being said I am excited for this show because it will likely give us some insight as to where the Marvel Cinematic Universe is heading and give us a nice glimpse at the upcoming “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” and “Guardians Of The Galaxy” which are the two films coming up next in 2014.

Speaking personally again I am anxious for this universe to get more Cosmic and showcase all the interstellar coolness that Marvel had in the pocket. Maybe we will even see a proper Galactus somewhere down the line and I am so hopeful for a solid “Doctor Strange” film. Maybe this program will even give some insight into the four Netflix exclusive shows that are heading in our direction. All I ask is that they keep the quality coming. Now what say you dear readers? Will you be watching this program tonight when it airs at 8PM Eastern Time or is it ready to rock your DVR?

I’ve painstakingly assembled all of the Marvel Cinematic Universe films to date that are available and am sending you over to Amazon.com to purchase them if you are still missing a few. I opted for the Blu-ray/DVD Combination packs when possible.
